Precision Measurements has a custom comprehensive internet web base management database that we use to track our status - deliveries and pickups.

Strengths: We use Precision Measurements as our primary source for calibration. Their customer service is very good. They are very responsive and fast to resolve issues. We have been using them for quite a few years now and they are very consistence with their quality and lead time. There delivery trucks would come by 2 to 3 times a week for drop offs and pickups. Very price competitive. Delivery is on time. I would highly recommend them. I consider them as a mid-size calibration lab. Equipment and devices they cannot calibrate in house they would sub contract them out and that is a major plus for us since they are our approved source for calibration.

Needs to improve: Their Certificates of Conformance (COC) can be better because they sometime lack information in the remarks/ comments section on the reports.

We use PMI almost exclusively for calibrating our dimensional measreument gauges and instruments as well as various gauges that meassure flow, pressure and temeprature. They do a good job and show up when scheduled. They will have occasional errors on certs, but they are quick to fix them. They are also difficult to get hodl of for an emergency calibration.

Strengths: Calibration services for a wide range of instruments and measurement tools, NIST traceable standards, full calibration documentaiton and certs.

Needs to improve: They are not easy to get hold of for an emergency calibration.

Good support and professional. I have used PMI at prior places. They have always been consistent and professional. I do think they are a little higher on the price scale compared to other places, but its not bad. You do get what you pay for. Although some of the cheaper places you should definitely avoid altogether considering calibration is a critical component of your quality system and potential audits as well as just ensuring good solid data is generated, PMI can provide that confidence

Overall the calibration service is great and onsite calibration for equipment at the company. But there was time that we sent equipment out for calibration and Precision Measurement had damage the load cell that we sent out for calibration. As we contact the personal whom handle our account then they try to denies the wrong method use for the calibration. Then it is turning into the blaming game.

PMI has been a consistent calibration service provider amongst the many companies I have been in. They are very professional and have gotten their CER cleaning of tools and equipment down to a science, which is very convenient. We can leave them be to do their calibrations and they let us know when their done and gone. Very convenient group, but relatively expensive compared to other calibration houses.

We contract with Precision Measurements to perform some calibration testing and we couldn't be happier with the results they have delivered.. Their knowledgeable staff was able to provide some guidance on industry best practices. It is very easy to order from Precision Measurements and they have accurate quotes and a quick turnaround. Their customer service team is always very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Precision to others.

We use them to do onsite calibration of equipment. They are quick to respond and provide a great service. They are great for locals in the bay area but I have even heard that they provide quick service for non-locals as well. Pricing is fair and service is quick, can't complain!

Needs to improve: Techs that come to calibrate aren't always 100% familiar with the devices.

Generally they do a good job at calibration of equipment at your location or theirs. They do require some initial supervision, as they are not immediately familiar with the wide array of equipment they calibrate. They once used a round (not flat) thermocouple in a bar sealer which could have been catastrophic.

We use this service for calibrating many of our manufacturing equipment. We need to have on record all of our calibrations and the equipment is required to be within specific measurements. Technicians are reliable and seldom make any mistakes. The only thing is there is a bit of wait time for the service to be served.

Needs to improve: as long you schedule in advance, there should be no problem getting the needed calibration services on time

We used them for calibrating all our measuring devices such as calipers and pressure gauges. We send it out every 6 months and have not had any issues.

On occasion we forget and need to get a rush on the calibration, and they have been good at accommodating our request.

I recommend using PMI for tool calibration. They're quick and they stay out of the way in our tight quarters. We will continue to use them.

Our shop sends our torque wrenches and various instrument gauges to be calibrated by Precision Measurements. They do a great job, we have never had a tool or gauge come back un-calibrated or off.
