Radio Shack

they are not bad they generally will have electrical parts i need at a reasonable price. the employees are quite friendly and very social and they try to help best they can.

Strengths: very good location.
prices are very cheap.
have a wide variety of any kind of part your looking for.
they usually have 3 employees working at all times
decent stock of cell phones
excellent customer service

Needs to improve: unless its the manager the other employees have no clue about voltage, currents, and wattage. sometimes waiting for manager to help takes awhile employees are not the brightest

Franchise model ensures good customer service. Supply not as good.

Strengths: Like other reviews say, not as good as they used to be. We still use Radio Shack for component supplies when we need a last minute pick up. Their electronic hardware selection is not what it used to be. We could buy resistors, capacitors, diodes and other electronic parts with ease in the past. They have now become much more consumer focused. Cell phones etc.

Needs to improve: Less component supply, more consumer products. Used to be a go to electronics store. Not any more

Customer service was great but not a big selection!

Strengths: The strengths of Radio Shack is that it is a small store therefor generally when going in and asking question when you need help locating an item or just simply need some advice in whatever your looking for they are either able to help you or not rather than wasting your time like some of the big name stores!

Needs to improve: The stores are small therefore they don't have everything we are always looking fir and prices tend to be a bit more!

Needed a relay switch pronto and Radio Shack had it. Too bad they are more focused on other products and not on the ones that made the store popular

Strengths: Plenty of local store to shop at, can usually find special parts here

Needs to improve: More of a Telephone store now...used to be that they were the place for all your electronic needs

For the most part I have always been pleased with radio shack although they don't have a huge selection as compared with other big name stores. This is sometimes frustrating, but the smallness of the store allows you to find things easily and the south shore employees seem eager to help.

Strengths: Good products
