I used SAS software for data analysis on very large data sets for academic and legal statistical analysis. SAS as a product works extremely well in these cases.

As a review of the company, I'll say they were extremely responsive and knowledgable. If the 10,000 page binders of documentation were not clear we could quickly get a real "SAS-head" on the phone who knew the page number by heart and provide an explanation for just about anything. Their statistical experts helped us shape our custom analyses. And they helped us extend SAS in various ways with our own custom code.

Strengths: Powerful product, great customer service. SAS is practically it's own research institute so they have world-class experts in many fields.

Needs to improve: Unbelievably expensive to get the kind of support we were getting. But if your business depends on expertise, support from SAS is a good deal.

we use SAS as our vendor for our statistical software SAS/STAT software. this software allows us to analyze our data and stats in a linear model allowing us to publish it into a database specific function for data processing. the results are fast and in line with our results. their technical support for all of the software they provide are experienced and knowledgeable who offer great service rarely found in other software vendors. SAS has provided us with highly intelligent software that has streamlined our workflow and made it a lot more efficient

SAS is highly recommended if you need to do statistics.

Strengths: SAS is an expert in the field of statistics. Their software is easy to use, they offer and range of classes, and they can help all levels of stats knowledge (from beginner to experts). We used their software packages and traveled to their home office to take some classes that were very helpful.

Needs to improve: Some of their packages can be pricey.

Tried the business intelligence and analytics tools, provided exceptional robust business data discovery and analysis including charting and trends. Cost may be prohibitive, one of the reasons our company is reevaluating need.
