Sigma-Aldrich is a reliable company when it comes to chemical product offerings. They carry your day to day chemicals (alcohol, DI water, etc.,), but also your specialized reagents and bioactive solutions. They also carry a plant-based line called Nutrient Explorers, which is a resource for botanical oriented research.

Strengths: Wide Variety of Chemicals and Solutions: Solvents, Acids, Bioactive Solutions (Small Molecules, Nutrients)

Needs to improve: If I’m ordering something new, I’d rather do it via phone than their website, since it’s not always easy to search for items.

sigma aldrich is a leader in the industry when it comes to industrial and organic chemicals. chemicals are packaged appropriately and shipped with appropriate msds and other documentation. their website is more difficult to navigate than i would like, but when you find the correct chemical, it is very informative.

The chemical products are customer for our needs. We offer some coils coated with various chemicals for varoius applications in Neurology. The adhesives along with the chemical make ups are kitted and used in production clean room for specific coil make ups.

Needs to improve: The solutions are expensive and requires planning for long leadtimes.

A good supply of just about any chemicals you may need. Chemicals are shipped and packaged safely to ensure safe shipment (i have ordered hydrofluoric acid in the past without any issue). Catalog contains very good information about each of the chemicals properties as well as a handy reference.

Sigma often has the chemicals I need in stock when I need them. They have helpful application sections on their website and are able to quickly answer simple chemistry questions about their chemical interactions. The chemicals are shipped safely and within expiration. Highly recommend for R&D use

Needs to improve: Catalog could include more information on chemicals, especially if it is found in other common sources (CRC handboook). Could provide an engine to calculate chemical properties (pKa, solubility, pKD). Shipping costs are a bit high.

They are at the top when it comes to chemicals; both organic and industrial. They are well packaged and come with all the appropriate docs. Their website is hard to use so it will take some time to find what you want.

Work with this vendor to develope new bio coats for our implant medical device products we manufacture for mnimally invassive procedures. The reliability of the solutions are consistent and very good quality. We appreciate the good customer services.

I've purchased several different chemicals from them including solvents , acids, and also bioactive materials such as bovine thrombin and fibrinogen. All came properly packaged and in shipped on time.

Strengths: Sigma-Aldrich can provide any type of lab supply, chemical or measuring instrument you can use. They are a great alternative if Fisher Scientific is out of stock or more expensive.

Needs to improve: Sometimes unwieldy listing their chemicals.

A very good supplier of all types of chemicals. They have really good customer service and catalog that outlines all the chemicals with good info on about them.
