Southern Spring & Stamping Inc

Our Engineering department has used Southern Spring & Stamping Inc. as an alternative source for compression spring for our ankle device mechanism in our robot. By supplying, detailed drawings they were able to supply us with accurate quotes, lead-time, tool & die cost, prototypes, FAIs, COCs, etc... They not only were able to meet our needs per our schedule, but suggested we color code their parts to keep better control of their shipments and we could keep data on how their product performed in the field, e.g., rejects, failures, etc... It was nice to know they stand by their product and were just as interested in the field results as we were. A great company for development of springs.

Needs to improve: About the only issue is they are on a long distance from our R&D facility and there can be delays with deliveries.

We've only worked with Southern Spring on one occasion. However, our experience was excellent as they exceed our expectations in all facets of the transaction. We purchased high compression springs from Southern Spring for a part of a new product we are rolling off. We have been looking for this exact type of spring from over a dozen other vendors but could not find one with right fit, quality, and price. These guys came to the rescue as the springs they offered were vastly superior in quality versus the rest of market, and the pricing was excellent. We highly recommend them.

We've used Southern Spring and stamping as one of our sources for custom short run prototyping of some of our components. Overall my experience working with them has been great. The engineers there are great to work with in coming up with the best specification for our needs. They actual products end up being very high quality and turn times have been great as well. In our experience they have always delivered as promised which is great for planning purposes. Overall one of our top companies to work with.
