Stratos Product Development

I've worked with Stratos for two Mechanical Design projects. The first was for the design of the mechanical battery housing of a small electronic medical device. The designs include injection molded and stamped metal parts. The second project was for a test fixture to test the device which involved CNC aluminum parts.

I worked with one designer on the first project. He quickly provided 3 different design architectures, all of which were viable. He helped communicate with the vendors and even traveled to the contract manufacturer to assure that he heard from the assemblers first hand. The feedback from the assemblers led to the need for a test fixture. In the end, we moved forward with two designs, both of which passed preliminary testing and were both deemed great designs by the assemblers.

The test fixture was also a great design. In the middle of the project, the designer needed to be moved to a higher priority project for another team in my company. The transition to a new designer was smooth and he was equally competent.

Stratos employs very experienced and capable designers. In addition, the have project managers assigned to the projects that manage the schedule, budget, and the Design Control aspects. The overall experience of working with Stratos was fantastic.

We contracted Stratos as a design partner for a complicated client prototype. We were immediately impressed by their professionalism and how knowledgeable their staff was. They offered insightful solutions and schematics within a relatively short time frame. Customer service was great as they kept us updated throughout and offered alternatives whenever possible. Accurate quotes, stayed within budget and timeline and yielded a quality work product. Great firm and great team behind it.
