As a student majoring in engineering and an employee working with medical devices that need to be in a tight specification range, I can vouche for these calculators. In fact, I never leave home without one if I know I'm going to be doing anything math related. You can get a great graphing calculator for around $100, and a simple scientific calculator for around $15. I highly, highly recommend these products, from basic to advanced. They store answer values, allow variable creation, and use trig and calculus functions.

Needs to improve: Some of the advanced calculators have so many tools you basically need to take a class to learn them all.

I have had my TI-85 since high school. it's like my blanket to Linus. still using it almost on a daily basis. it has survived abuses for 20+ years. coke spill, the tortures of SATs, APs, multitudes of college problem sets, daily abuses in the backpack and textbooks, and dumped a cup of coffee on it this past year. still ticking away for me. i profess my love for my TI-85 publicly as it has richly deserved.

Strengths: durable TI calculator still around 20 years later. survived a spill of coke on top of it, a cup of coffee, abuse in the backpack, etc.

Needs to improve: none

We've used TI products in a wide array of areas, including electronics components for circuit boards, PCBs, etc, ADC, DAC, multiplexers etc, as well as finished products like scientific calculators used by all engineers. Their products are fantastic as you would expect from an established company like TI, however we've found that because they have offerings in such wide range of products, it can be clumsy to find the right customer support for what you need. Otherwise, we will continue to use TI.

Easy to use at work. I use my TI calculator when it comes to account reviews every quarter as I need to go over the YoY growth of products. The calculator comes in handy and fits nicely in my bag!

Strengths: I've been using TI since my High School and College days. They are a very reputable company and have a variety of products that are useful for the industry i am in.

Needs to improve: Prices can be too expensive depending on the product but can find them used on amazon.com for a cheaper price

All my TI calculators still work! No matter how many times I've dropped my TI-36, it still works great. Also, I bought a used graphing calculator for only $39, and it works as if it were brand new!!!

Strengths: Even when I buy a used TI-83 graphing calculator, it still works great. Now that's quality assurance.

Needs to improve: Nothing I can think of. All my calculators from TI still work!

Our company provides us Texas Instruments Calculator for taking account of the small parts and material that we use in a daily basis. Clear and detailed numeric signs, numbers and letters. Easy to use and very light product. A little bit pricey as for the contrary but other than that, Good electronic calculators.

we use many of their resistors and circuit boards in my department and install them into our cycler dialysis machines on a daily basis and the quality of their products doesn't get any higher then them. their shipments are very efficient and always on time as well.

I have used the same TI-87 for over 10 years now and never had any issues. It does all the graphing and trig functions I have ever needed and the battery life has been amazing. Have never considered buying any other calculator!

I have a TI-89 and it works great never had any issues and when I had questions their customer service was there to guide me.

Strengths: A strength is there calculators. They can do anything.

Needs to improve: A weakness is there big and bulky size. But besides this the calculators run great.

My company has been using they're calculators for years and they are very durable and compact wich makes for easy storage and organization.

TI is a great company. For depending technology needs in the areas of chip manufacturing they are an obvious choice. We use some of their chips for some very important equipment.

I have used my trusty Ti84 for years. I know they make high tech test equipment and computer peripherals too, but I use the calculator for work and school. It does everything.
