Strengths: Vaughan Manufacturing makes quality American made hammers, pry bars and other striking tools for the construction industry. I have used Vaughan Hammers for over 30 years and they have never failed. They are a great value for their performance, have innovative features such as nail starter notches and micro puller groves. They are widely available and come in a variety of sizes, shapes and models. My go to hammer is the Vaughan 999 straight claw wood handled framing hammer. It has served me well since I graduated college. I also use their "super bar" pry bar as well and it is a great tool to keep in my bags.

Needs to improve: None. Honestly, I have never had a Vaughan tool fail me. I got one of my hammers in 1983 while I was still in college and still use it to this day.
