West Coast Aggregrates

As I stated in section 2, WCAGG supplies a very unique type of crushed granite rock which is used in our landscaping division. It is the only place where we can find this rock locally.

Strengths: West Coast Aggregates is another company I maintain a contract with to provide crushed rock products we use in the construction, landscaping and road building industries. They have a local quarry near Half Moon Bay CA which provides unique granitic crushed rock which is used extensively in our landscaping projects. This rock, 3/8's Pacific Gold is very similar to the old cinder running tracks and we use it for landscaped pathways and walking trails. The Pilarcitos Quarry is the only source for this rock. They have an extensive quarry system which provides a majority of our rock needs. Their local office/scale is staffed by longtime employees who are very friendly and helpful. While we maintain an account with WCAGG, they also allow for single use and retail customers as well.

Needs to improve: Sometimes, WCAGG cannot keep up with demand on certain products.

When you contact local quarries and try and get stock levels, they are usually pretty good at letting you what you need. When you have a huge order, above 1500 yards, they can usually plan ahead and meet your needs. Will call and last minute orders can leave you short.

Strengths: Multiple service locations.. Wide range of products. Decent customer service, depending on location. Usually decent quantity available.

Needs to improve: Can be hit or miss with regards to what they have available. We recently needed 3/8 minus crushed gold granite fines and they did not have it in stock. We had to wait two weeks until stock was built up.
