these might have been great machines, but probably great back in 1985....there are better out there today. i have used the accuwinder spring winders and they are very basic. granted the one i used was a pretty old one. I attempted to contact accuwinder into looking to retrofit or update the existing one i was working on and there was very little support (this was back in 2003 or so)....personally, just look elsewhere for a spring winder if you are in the market for one

If you need some springs, Accuwinder Engineering is the place to go. We needed some custom springs manufactured as a component in one of our products and Accuwinder did a great job with our project. Their customer service department did an excellent job listening to our needs before trying to just sell us something right off the bat, and we really felt that they wanted to understand the project before jumping in. They did a great job giving us updates throughout the project and we never felt like our timelines were in jeopardy. This is a solid vendor that we would definitely use again in the future.

We've worked with Accuwinder Engineering a few times now in procuring custom springs for our consumer products. We've had need at various times to rework the components we use in our products, one of which are springs and Accuwinder has been able to help with that. They guys over there are very knowledgeable and are able to work with us in a consulting fashion to determine the best specifications for our needs. Quality of products is top notch and their service department is always available for questions. Overall thumbs up to those guys.

We have had a good experience with Accuwinder. They have been in the business for years and have an outstanding reputation. Although there are plenty of other vendors for springs, Accuwinder is one of the few vendors that carry high quality spring winders. Very critical for our products as it helps reset the internal mechanisms within our products seamlessly without jamming like other competitors out there. A little pricey but you get excellent quality.

Accuwinder was and still is an industry leader as their team is extremely experienced. The accuwinders yield quality results and despite being basic, still function well. However, there are other sources for more updated and modern solutions. Great customer service and a good product, but sometimes lead times drag out a bit longer.

Used one of their winders for creating a wound coil for catheter reinforcement. They are good machines but run on old operating systems. They also have very long lead times so plan for several months. They have been around for a long time so they have much experience.

Strengths: Expertise in winding wire

Needs to improve: Very long lead time and poor customer service

We have purchased the Model CW-16 for our MFG Engineering lab. They use this to test the coiling of a variety of metal and precious metal wires for micro medical implants.

Strengths: High quality and reliable coiling winder system

Needs to improve: Technical help is long process

We use there springs for our devices. They never break or give out. They work pretty good.
