Ace Hardware

I go to Ace whenever I know exactly what I am looking for because I have found that most of the time the staff is clueless about the task I am trying to accomplish and just kind of point me to another aisle. So if I know the specific item that I am looking for, I can pick it out at Ace for a reasonable price. If I need help planning my job, I go elsewhere

Strengths: Selection, one stop shop for most everything I need at home

Needs to improve: usually a less than knowledgeable staff.

Wish there more Ace's around as the feel is much better than that of an HD or Lowes. Our firm is a small assembly and we order/purchase our power tools and any components needed for our client requests from the local Ace. Convenient, great selection with customer service in mind. Always a great selection and never have issues with quality. Wish there were more.

We go to Ace Hardware when we need that certain hand tool or if we need to pick up a power tool set. They have quality hand tools and are top notch with their service

Strengths: Ace Hardware is like it says Ace is the place! They have outstanding customer service!! and know what it is you are looking for if it is just described to them.

Needs to improve: nothing

i can go to ace hardware many times in a week - and 99% of the time I find what I need

Strengths: ace has it all, mostly. I love the place

Needs to improve: if it does not have something, you have to worry whether you can find it anywhere

I usually stop by Ace in smaller towns or when the bigger stores aren't easily accessible. I usually find what I'm looking for, although occasionally I've missed the larger selection from Lowe's and Home Depot.

Strengths: One stop shop. Decent pricing. Usually conveniently located.

Needs to improve: Store qualities vary.
