Strengths: We use First American Title services to handle our business real estate transactions. We use the Menlo Park CA office and usually work with Anne Kaz. They are super reliable and work really hard to minimize screw ups and title problems. If Anne detects a problem, she get's it fixed immediately. The staff is super nice and friendly and you don't get the normal. We have done over 100 commercial transactions and there has never been a problem. They answer your questions, reply to your emails and phone calls and get the job done. Transactions are recorded with the county in a matter of hours.

Strengths: First American is usually the title company of choice among our real estate group to handle recording and real property matters. They are a big organization, so can get you answers from a wide variety of jurisdictions. They have experience, so they can identify issues and work hard to minimize potential issues. They are generally super responsive, so you know they are working on the issue.

Needs to improve: Sometimes, the information comes back piecemeal. When they are using mobile notaries, the process can get delayed because the mobile notary isn't clear on what should be happening.

This is a high quality title company with a strong reputation. It comes with a higher price. We trusted them for all of our real estate transactions because we knew there would be zero issues every time.

Strengths: They are a very reliable title services firm. We could use for them all transactions in both foreclosure and luxury properties. The turnaround is very fast.

Needs to improve: They are more expensive than other title firms, but work is more reliable and fast.

We always reach out to First American title first before any transaction as a heads up. Quick turnaround, quality services and a continued, strong reputation. Will continue to use and refer.
