When it comes to determining magnetic resonance safety, there’s no one else I trust to perform the testing than Dr. Frank Shellock himself. There is one other company, located in Germany, that I know of, but I continue to go back to Shellock since he is considered the guru of MR, has written many of the standards for MR testing and analysis, and an advisor to the FDA on this matter. Most importantly though, his services are tried and true with all of his reports having been accepted by both the FDA, EU, and OUS regulatory agencies. Additionally, his work is very thorough in that even if it’s been years since he’s tested your device, if he reads something incorrect relating to it, he will personally contact you to notify you of the error and offer advice on how to fix it.

We sent our nitinol implant devices here for testing to support MRI Conditional labeling. While I assume all of the reports are nearly identical, our report was detailed and complete and delivered slightly ahead of schedule. We have submitted these reports to FDA and CE notified bodies with excellent results and have used the MRI conditional information on the info card that is kept by the patient. Highly recommended.

We have gone to Dr. Shellock a number of times for testing of our devices for MR safety and compatibility. He has set the standard in the medical industry for this and his observations and results are one we trust. I have not had any issues in dealing with the FDA or CE bodies with the results and data we presented based on his recommendations.

Needs to improve: Availability for testing is dependent on Dr. Shellock's schedule, but it is usually not a problem.

We used Dr. Shellock's services for MRI compatibility testing of several of our products. Dr. Shellock is well know in the industry and knows the "in's and Out's" of what the FDA and other notified bodies are looking for when it comes to MRI device compatibility.

MRS has worked in the MR safety field for ever. He is well respected at FDA and his reports carry a lot of weight. Pretty much the only game in town for quick turn, MR testing for implants.

_THE_ MRI safety testing expert. It's a good thing that he's extremely competent, because I think he's the only game in town. Dr. Shellock performed testing on our implant device, then helped to formulate a successful response to specific FDA questions.
