Founded in 1987, Merit Medical Systems, Inc. is a worldwide company engaged in the development, manufacture and distribution of proprietary disposable medical devices used in interventional and diagnostic procedures, particularly in cardiology, radiology and endoscopy. Its primary products consist of inflation devices used in angioplasty and stent placement; diagnostic and therapeutic catheters used for various procedures in cardiology and radiology; diagnostic and hydrophilic products used to manage and monitor the administration of contrast media and other fluid solutions; thrombolytic catheters and fluid dispensing systems; and embolotherapeutic products for the treatment of uterine fibroids, hypervascularized tumors, and arteriovenous malformations.
Headquartered in South Jordan, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City, Merit employs approximately 2,900 people worldwide. Merit serves client hospitals with a domestic and international sales force totaling approximately 130 individuals as well as select distributors. Merit has expanded from a small manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City to five separate facilities in the metropolitan area. The Company has a manufacturing facility in Galway, Ireland, enabling Merit to provide direct distribution to European accounts. Merit also has a catheter manufacturing facility located in Angleton, Texas; a procedure tray and pack manufacturing facility in Richmond, Virginia; European headquarters in Maastricht, The Netherlands; manufacturing facilities in Venlo, The Netherlands and near Paris, France; and offices in Rockland, Massachusetts, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Beijing.

Easy to work with and preferred over Qosina in regards to ease of ordering.
Strengths: As long as you pay for the shipping, they are willing to send you a free variety component kit, which is great for prototyping on the fly. It is also easy to work with the sales rep, since most items can be ordered with a quick email.
Needs to improve: Sometimes large orders are required if you want more than a few.

We currently order our syringes from them. We use these syringes as part of our simulated treatments that we perform in our lab. We also ship these with our device to our customers. You can't go wrong with their products.

we have contracted with Merit company for numerous years in our business and we have never found a major problem that slowed us down in production. We have ordered many syringes and product and they have durable and wide variety and fair prices. Would recommend to anyone in the business.

They provide us with quality luers,valves, syringes, and other medical related parts. They provide exceptional customer service they can answer any question you may have. We order our syringes from them on a regular they work great for our simulation treatments that we perform in our labs.

Merit Medical offers a wide variety of syringes. We use a locking syringe and were able to get a customized logo. They are quick to send free samples and will work with you to get customized syringes if need be. They are highly recommended.

They are a longtime supplier of our medical equipment, easy to work with, and the quality of there product are excellent. Their products have always come consistently, with no issues in the years that they have been supplying. Highly recommended supplier for medical and hospital equipment needs. I am new to my position and was put in charge of picking a new Medical supplier, Merit Medical Inc. did not let me down. We now use only them for our drainage caths, embolics and syringes.
Strengths: Very knowledgeable about their products, helped me throughout the entire ordering process.
Needs to improve: I was very pleased with my experience with Merit Medical Inc.
They are one of the main lab supply vendors I use when I need to purchase vales, tubings, and connectors. Sometimes its cheaper here and sometimes its cheaper elsewhere. However, they have great customer service and are very easy to communicate with.
Strengths: wide selection of supplies, quick turnaround, great customer service

i have had to replace not only the lure fitting, but also the lock. there was no issues replacing them because they are easy.
Strengths: they make large volume of products that i can find all over our company
Needs to improve: their lure fittings can wear out over time, so replacing them every once in a while is fine.

Strengths: They provides very good quality plastic components such as connectors, luers, valves, fititngs, stopcocks, etc. the customer service is also always very helpful. an excellent resource. This company maintain a very good quality products and services a AAA for me and a must used company specially if you are in medical field work.

We have been using Merite medicals catheters for our Hemo dialysis machines. They have a really good product and customer support is great as well. We mainly order their locking and non locking drainage catheters. Always a good product.

Merit has supplied RHV's to almost every company that I have worked for. The quality of their products is top notch.
Strengths: Manufacture and stock a wide variety of high quality syringes, hemostasis valves and luer fittings in sterile or non-sterile condition. Also offer OEM services to cusomize their stock components.
Needs to improve: Lead times can be lengthy.
When your in doubt about a product or service, the best thing to do is ask. That is exactly what I did and I was very impressed with how customer service handled all my questions! No regrets using Merit Medical Inc.

We are currently working with Merit to provide a sterile accessory kit for our device. They have been good to work with, and the pricing for the total sterile kit is excellent. Lead times are a little long, but still shorter than doing it in house.

They carry similar products to qosina but perhaps a little better quality. If you ask for a free sample kit, they'll send you a whole box with a nice selection of their popular components.

We ordered samples and a sale person suggested and tried his best to send the best samples that would fit for our product needs. I always end up ordering for them (mostly connectors and some lab supplies).
Strengths: They offer generous samples and very knowledgeable sale people
Needs to improve: No major weaknesses
We are looking into Merit to contract out some work on a new device. They were very willing to send down service reps to talk at length about possiblities. We are looking forward to bridging a new partnership in the coming months.

We purchase the VacLok Vacuum Pressure Syringe system for our R&D lab. They go through many syringes duing their day to day work. We use many suppliers, but MMSI is one of our best quality ones!
