Founded in 1987, Merit Medical Systems, Inc. is a worldwide company engaged in the development, manufacture and distribution of proprietary disposable medical devices used in interventional and diagnostic procedures, particularly in cardiology, radiology and endoscopy. Its primary products consist of inflation devices used in angioplasty and stent placement; diagnostic and therapeutic catheters used for various procedures in cardiology and radiology; diagnostic and hydrophilic products used to manage and monitor the administration of contrast media and other fluid solutions; thrombolytic catheters and fluid dispensing systems; and embolotherapeutic products for the treatment of uterine fibroids, hypervascularized tumors, and arteriovenous malformations.
Headquartered in South Jordan, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City, Merit employs approximately 2,900 people worldwide. Merit serves client hospitals with a domestic and international sales force totaling approximately 130 individuals as well as select distributors. These highly trained individuals and organizations market Merit's products both domestically and internationally by calling directly on physicians and clinicians who use the products in hospitals and clinics worldwide.
Merit has expanded from a small manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City to five separate facilities in the metropolitan area. The Company has a manufacturing facility in Galway, Ireland, enabling Merit to provide direct distribution to European accounts. Merit also has a catheter manufacturing facility located in Angleton, Texas; a procedure tray and pack manufacturing facility in Richmond, Virginia; European headquarters in Maastricht, The Netherlands; manufacturing facilities in Venlo, The Netherlands and near Paris, France; and offices in Rockland, Massachusetts, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Beijing.

Merit medical systems have really great products if you hve a question about their products their quick to respond

Highly recommended. They do offer competitive prices but I still find them to be on the higher side.Very knowledgeable staff and great products.

We buy all the disposable guide wire, syringe, and other for our lab testing from Merit. It's easy to order on line once the account have been setup. We never have any issue with our order and great customer service.

Dependable supplier of medical components for catheters and other medical devices we manufacture. these are good quality components and the deliveries are consitent and keeps are inventories at the correct desired levels.

They carry a decent variety of luer, valves, syringes, etc., and can work with their customer to customize the item (to an extent). Unfortunately, their lead times can vary drastically from a few days to several weeks.

We use merit regularly. I use their connectors, fittings, and syringes daily to manufacture, test, and calibrate machines and they are very reliable. They also have great shipping rates.

We were using their pressure sensors and syringes in our disposable units. No problems.
Strengths: Very helpful staff. Quick response times. Free samples. Product knowledge. Quality products.
Needs to improve: Slightly on the pricey. But you do get high quality product.

merit provides very good quality plastic components such as connectors, luers, valves, fititngs, stopcocks, etc.
