As a smaller pharmaceutical company, we look to different vendors pretty often to have multiple options in our hands. Microlumen was recommended to us by one of our clients in the East Coast for doing quality work. Our systems engineering team reached out to them to request a tubing sample for medical and surgical . They are able to make the sample to the exact specifications and can have the sample delivered within 2 days. Our tubing was high quality so we went ahead to take on Microlumen for one of our recent projects. they have a specific process that allows for tighter tolerances polymer products allowing the tubing product to have minimal degradation. we were fairly impressed with the result and the quality was much higher than other vendors we have worked with. the polymer tubing has endured high chemical resistance, and tensile strength. throughout the process, their production team kept us in the loop regarding every step and informed us of any delays in the product. The price they charge for services is definitely not the cheapest in the industry. For a smaller firm like ours, we unfortunately cannot use them often for our projects due to this. moreover, they are a smaller company with a single location so it may be harder for huge companies requiring a huge man power.

Needs to improve: samples were slightly delayed, cost is not the best value in the industry, smaller company which can have its downfalls if you are looking for an extensive order that requires huge man power

Great company to deal with when it comes to PTFE line tubing. We have been using them for our catheters and guidewire coating and they have been fantastic so far. On a business aspect they are very easy to deal with over the phone, email, and also when it comes to billing. I have not ever had an issue there. From a performance and quality standpoint their coating have performed fantastically and have passed all of our internal as well as field testing requirements. We actually have micro lumen come in to set up our assembly line and they did so very quickly and answered all of our questions. I have nothing but great things to say about them and I will continue to use them for years to come. Look no further if you are in the medical device industry looking for PTFE liners/coatings for your devices.

We have been working with MicroLumen as they have been supplied us parts for use in our dialysis machines. They have a variety of braided/coiled tubing that we needed to have customized in order to function properly in our dialysis machines. Their customer staff is easy to get a hold of and get work very quickly and get the job done in a timely manner. Their customer staff is very knowledgaeable, friendly, and easy to get to work with. I have no issues recommending them for others to use. They are great to work with and we will continue to use them as a vend

When our company was looking for a vendor for tubing and materials we saw Microlumen. At first we thought they were in the wrong industry, thinking microlumen was a manufacturer in small, miniature/micro light bulbs. However they are not in the wrong industry, they are in the right one, especially with the way they provide their service and our products. They are super accommodating, willing to give us any samples as needed so we can test it out and build prototypes. These guys are awesome, highly recommended, they bring it, small or large they will work for you.

Strengths: Outstanding Company that just "Gets it". I've used Microlumen as a supplier for extruded tubes and sub assemblies to be used for medical devices. They're knowledgeable engineers are "go getters" who do everything they can to meet or exceed their clients' needs. Quick turnaround and quality products make me want to continue using them for projects in the future.

Microlumen has supplied PTFE liners and small ID polyimide tubings. The extrusions they have provided are of excellent quality, holding consistent dimensions, being able to extrude small ID tubing, and provide reliable service. They are also very capable of extruding thin wall PTFE liners, consistently, easing manufacturing processing. I have not encountered any issues using their parts during my experience with them, but customer service was very helpful when trying to get some information optimizing dimensions. Overall, a great extrusion company, though their selection is limited.

Strengths: We use this company’s extruded plastic tubing for our assembly line on the many medical devices we produce. The tubing are manufactured with tighter tolerances than conventionally extruded plastic tubing. Highly reliable and great quality. They offer custom sizes which is great for our R&D department and Sustain Engineering department to validate and protype our medical equipment. Dependable source for customized tubing. Price is competitive. Their customer service representatives are every helpful and knowledgeable of their product. Orders and deliveries are accurately place and received.

MicroLumen offers custom braid and coil reinforced tube shafts. The main reason we used them was the advantages of reinforcement and increased column strength, torque transmission and increased burst strength. They have a wide range of variety to chose from.

Strengths: MicroLumen manufactures high performance medical tubing. The material is Polyimide tubing. Polyimide is a thermoset plastic which provides excellent mechanical, thermal and chemical properties. They can comply to real tight tolerances our process window is very small and mircolumen was able to comply.

I have used MicroLumen extensively for both early prototype construction and to supply manufacturing. They are always willing to supply samples of materials that they have in stock (and they have a lot) so that I can try them out to figure out what will work before placing a real order. Then, once the project transitions to manufacturing, MicroLumen reliably provides much higher quantities of the same high quality materials.

Microlumen has many products to offer, we have ordered many laser machines and they work perfectly! couldn't complain one bit with their products. We currently order our polyimide tubing sets from them for our dialysis machines and our granuflow machine. These tubes are used for hot and cold liquid transfer in our units. They work very well and their customer service is good at answering any questions or concerns you may have. Always dependable and reliable they are very durable as well very difficult to puncture.
