This was the worst experience I've had with software for EDMS and quality systems - poorly designed products and poor service. I would never recommend their software to anyone.

Strengths: Out of several quotes for electronic document management systems, their quote was not the most expensive one.

Needs to improve: They overpromise and underdeliver. The salesperson will make statements that are false. The actual software is poorly designed, with lots of defects and low usability. I've been at 5 medical device companies with various electronic document management systems and software for quality management systems, and Pilgrim had the worst software compared to the others.

So far in my career I have been at three different companies that used Pilgrim Software and each time, I had a very bad experience. Performing what should be very simple tasks as ducment searches, document review and document change is jsut very cumbersome, difficult and non intuitive.

Strengths: The Pilgrim software satisfies FDA and ISO-13485 requirements for QMS software.

Needs to improve: Very poor customer support services. Software is not very intuitive and very difficult to use. Pilgrim software is junk.

Bad experience from beginning to end. Poor training by staff. Some trainers were okay but one trainer in particular was very arrogant.

Everyone always needed help getting documents through the system. Adding and finding file attachments were very frustrating

Glad we dumped the program and moved on

I have to log into Pilgrim to get the required training on SOPs. It's troublesome because I have to log into another system to get the document I have to train myself on.

Strengths: Good at keeping track of required training (SOPs)

Needs to improve: Does not link to our document control system well.
