Great service and selection.

Strengths: Borrmann steel is a full service steel raw material supplier which can handle 1/4x2" flats all the way up to structural steel for high rise buildings. The have a huge,covered warehouse and cutting facility. They have a will call department, but it is best to work with their sales persons to pre-order your needs. A few years ago, the owner of the business was killed in a local plane crash, but his family has carried on in his name and the company has not suffered one bit. They have everything you need related to steel.

Needs to improve: Unfortunately, they are located in East Palo Alto, a really high crime area, meaning if you are going inperson to pick up, you need to travel through some sketch areas. Keep your vehicles locked if doing will call.

We like to experiment with a variety of different materials for our goods. We contracted Borrmans when we had an inkling to try out steel in our products. It didnt' work out for our products, but it wasn't due to the steel we got. We told their sales rep what we wanted and were trying to do, they were skeptical and told us why. But they went ahead and made recommendations. We when ahead with it and ultimately agreed that they were right =) We obviously don't know much about steel, but the items we got were exactly as we had asked for. Great customer service if only we had listened to them first rather than be stubborn about our own ideas.

Great service and supply. We use our engineering drawings and specifications and submit directly to Borrman. They calculate our order and fill it. We have a delivery schedule and they generally meet our needs. Custom cutting and burning are extra, but this is a cost we can pass on to our customers.

Strengths: Structural Steel supplier for our commercial construction needs. They have a huge yard and can supply steel from 1/8 inch strapping to structural I beams. We use them primarily for our large, structural steel needs. They have a pretty decent delivery service and their trucks are right out of the 1950's. Super vintage. We have found they use primarily American made steel and it gives good results upon assembly.

Needs to improve: SF Bay area only.

We consider them a trustworthy company because of their professionalism and excellent customer service. The purchasing process for sheet metal was made easy with any of the customer service reps we spoke to. R E Borrman provided excellent services that went above and beyond the call of duty.

Strengths: R E Borrman Steel has been a trusted vendor of ours for many years now. We have purchased sheet metal for our medical assembly lines. We have also contracted them out for services in which we could not do in house. They were very professional and accurate with all of their measurements and the overall project. Customer service was always a plus as they provided trustworthy answers and competitive/fair quotes.

Our company was looking to outsource some welding work and we were recommended R E Borrmann Steel Company. We originally thought they were just providers of raw materials but they also offer services which we were very interested in. We outsourced one of our product lines to them and we could not be happier. From sales to customer service they have all been very professional and knowledgeable. Always willing to help get the job done right the first time. Their prices are in line with other companies, but their quality and service sets them apart. We will continue to use them for our welding needs.

RE Borrman Steel has provided our company with steel sheets for a few months now and we could not be more pleased. The quality of the steel that has gone into our manufacturing is precise and reliable. REB was referred to us by a colleague and we decided to try them out because of their low price point, and they have really come through for us. Their wide selection of sizes allows us to save time and energy looking for other vendors. Once ordered, the products arrive very quickly as well. Great vendor, will continue our relationship!

The customer service is great, I had ordered some complicated stuff with a custom order. I thought it was going to be a little complicated, but they made the order smooth and an easy transaction. Would love to order from them again soon. Great staff!

Strengths: The products are true to last. They sell great product with high quality steel and other great stuff. They have a wide selection in product with affordable prices. They also cut deals if you order in bulk.

Needs to improve: The website is being rebuilt at the moment. It is hard to reach them or go browse around.

Our business has been trying to find someone who could provided us with great steel sheets for a few years now and no one has had the quality we were looking for until we found out about this Company. With the quality and price they offer its hard not to choose them. They have done plenty of custom sizing for us making it easy to work with them. They have a one of a kind customer service!!

The company I work for has contracted with R E Borrman Steele Company to purchase sheet metal for our assembly lines. They provide you with high quality sheet metal along with custom sizes. Customer service is great and there helpful with the order process. You get your order quick and fast. We will use this vendor again.

Strengths: They have great customer service that makes the order process simple. Turnaround times are always fast and prices can't be beat. This company is also local so that's always a plus.
