It’s no mystery that it’s very expensive to take a new device from concept to reality. But working with the folks at sil-pro they understand that and help you stretch that dollar. They are very responsive to your needs and reply to my emails within the day. They provide you with constant updates and make you feel as though you are there with them all the way through. Sil-Pro is very professional in the way they handle things and I was very impressed with the team I worked with. They are very knowledgable.

Strengths: Sil-Pro is an ISO certified contract manufacturer of medical devices. They specialize in all aspects of the manufacturing process. They offer assistance with component and product design to final assembly and sterilization. They are a one-stop-shop for contract manufacturing. They are an ideal source for everything from prototype and development applications to high volume automated assembly platforms. They have a knowledgable staff on hand that is there to assist you all the way through.

Needs to improve: My only issue is that they are located in Delano, Minnesota and not in california.

As in their name, the Sil-Pro staff are professionals in the silicone business. There are many companies who offer silicone tubing, but I’ve gone back to Sil-Pro time after time for their customer service. Often, the sizes I’m looking for will have existing dies/tooling, so the only costs are the initial setup and the tubing itself. On occasion, they won’t have exactly what I’m looking for, but that’s where Sil-Pro earns their keep. Their sales rep is more than happy to look up what existing tooling they have that will yield comparable results (depending on how liberal your tolerances are).

Needs to improve: I haven’t found any weaknesses in the 30+ orders I’ve purchased from them over the past 4 years.

Sil-Pro is an excellent supplier of silicone tubing that we use in the lab as pressure and vacuum tubing for our dialysis machines. they are very good quality, expand very easy, and hold for a long time. after a while the ware and tare tend to ware the tubing ends out and when pressurized they tend to blow off our transducers but that will happen with most if not all silicone tubing after a while.

Have ordered thousands of feet of silicone tubing from them for bench testing and they've always delivered on-time. New sizes (ID and WT) usually require new tooling, but the sales rep doesn't have a problem searching through existing inventory and suggesting alternates that will work, given the tolerance on the tubing. The initial run was around $7/pc but subsequent sizes within the same PO were only $5/pc, so best to group orders together to save cost.

Customer service/reps are extremely helpful in addressing your product needs. For small batch R&D runs of silicone tubing, many times, costs have been minimized on tooling by their staff in using existing tools/dies to achieve the dimensions i need, although on occasion when one is unavailable, i would have to pay for new custom tooling, but more often than not, an existing tool was present.

we use Sil-Pro plastic and silicone tubing on our dialysis machines on a daily basis and are very happy with our purchases. their tubing is very durable and it is used to transfer air from our pump to our I/O boards. these tubes are also very reliable and rarely ever malfunction. their price range is very good and shipments are on time most of the time.

We've used Sil-pro for many years. They have provided us we countless feet of silicone tubing (both custom and no-custom). They have never failed us. They are usually good at getting us tubing in a timely manner at a competitive price.

Sil-pro currently provides us with many types of tubing, but more specifically, our silicon tubing. The quality and flexibility makes it easy to install and work with which is a plus. We use these tubings in our dialysis machines for fluid and air transfer. They really do have a great product.

Sil-pro is an excellent provider of silicone tubings for our dialysis machines at my work. We use them everyday on the production assembly line. They're mainly used for our pump assemblies. Easy to install. Reliable quality that will last a long time. The tubings are high grade quality so it would take a lot of pressure to damage it. Dependable on time service.

there are a few vendors who i purchase silicone tubing from, and sil-pro is among the few. if you need a size (diameter and thickness) that they don’t have existing tooling for, the sales rep is nice enough to offer you some alternatives that will get you close to it, so you can save on tooling costs. great for the budget and bottom line.

Sil-Pro provided us silicone tubings used for masking. They were easy to work with, however, the costs and leadtimes of tubings were not sustainable compared to larger competitors who carry a wider selection of tubings in stock. However, the quality of their tubings were excellent and highly recommended for their customer service, technical support, and quality.
