Company advertise that they would make prototype in 4 weeks. Their biomedical engineers have absolutely no concept of implantable medical device design and prototype manufacturing. They continue to make similar mistakes, fail to understand the concept, will not provide all measurements in their design and ultimately cost you more. Every time they will make a prototype, they would repeat the same mistakes again and again. Poor communication by the engineers, no one in business and administration would return your email or phone call, and the timeline has no meaning for them. $ weeks project can easily take them more than a year to accomplish with no accountability. Very frustrating that despite they merged with Trelleborg, they have no improvement. I would strongly suggest staying away from their impressive website information.

We have been ordering our silicon diaphragms from them for the past 4 years. We have always received the best from them which is very important to the functionality of our device and the care that our patients expect to receive. We currently use the diaphragms in our pump assemblies which we put under 2800 Mbar and they hold up very well very rarely you get one that leaks but for the most part it's a good product.

Strengths: They have great customer service,their staff is very helpful and do a great job at understanding exactly what you want.

We have been using specialty silicone fabricators for years and they have provided silicone tubing for our dialysis machines. Their products are very high quality and durable. We have not had any issues during our process development and reliability in the field so far has been very good. Their customer staff is easy to get a hold of and get work very quickly and get the job done in a timely manner. They are very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to get to work with. We ordered small and thin wall silicone molding in different sizes in mm for bench testing models. The quality is super and meet our expectation. Just that it is really costly for custom molding and lead time is quite long, but if you need a quality and almost precise silicone molding then go for it.

We used Specialty Silicone to design and develop a silicone diaphragm used in our medical device. They worked with us to select the appropriate silicone material and process. Their quality is very good and they have good loto to lot consistency which can be difficult when dealing with silicone.

SSF is a pricey vendor for silicone fabrication, but they deliver high quality components and work with their customers to meet their exact specifications. They also helped is through the development process and was receptive to feedback. The additional drawback was it was slow to initiate the conversation.

Specialty has been very reliable with providing silicone parts. They have delivered on time with lot to lot consistency. We have never had any quality issues with incoming inspection. Pricing can be expensive but the quality comes at a cost.
