We have dealt with Zeus for many years. They have always been relaible when it comes to PTFE based extrusions. The sales staff are extremely knowledgeable. High quality runs with no lot to lot variations. Consistently meets are specifications. The one thing that would be negative is the occasional long lead times for certain extrusion runs.

I have worked with zeus for 15+ years, and their etched PTFE liners are continually high quality and arrive as promised. I have also purchased truckloads of FEP heat shrink tubing and a lesser quantity of PEEK tubing. All Zeus tubing has arrived with the same high quality and conformance to our specs.

Needs to improve: Lead times are generally 4-6 weeks

Good response and reasonable lead times for existing products. Sales staff response excellent.

Strengths: Infinite product offerings and possibilities. If they don't have it, they can design it.

Needs to improve: The typical large company issues around change; it can take a long time to make a change. However, their sales staff will respond well to repeated issues once they've acknowledged a change is needed.

Their off the shelf products are great and are an amazing quality. However, the same is not to be said about their raw material. It is a ripple effect. And delays and going back into production can be very costly.

Zeus makes great tubing. Their heat shrink PTFE tubing is hard to beat. Though when working with the Medical device industry their old school proprietary nature makes it very difficult for users to file the necessary paper work with FDA. The Reps are responsive but have have little power in regards to obtaining regulatory information.

Great supplier with very high quality control Would use them for most plastic extrusion needs

Strengths: Large range of materials to choose from. They are able to extrude complex shapes to meet your needs. Able to make very small tubes for small devices

Needs to improve: Large company so can take a little bit of time to be contacted from the company.

Responsive custermer serve and an industry standard for plastic tubings.

Strengths: First stop for plastic tubing needs. They have a large inventory readily available. Their sales reps are also very responsive.

Needs to improve: Knowledgeable but also has a lot of proprietary information they are unwilling to share. This may cause some issues, when needing information to provide to the FDA.

Good quality tubing we use within our manufacturing process for catheters and other medical devices we manufacture. The quality of the tubing is there and we use it for product development as well. They supplier has been reliable and usually has consistent deliveries.

Strengths: Reliable supplier for our plastic tubing requirements

Zeus is one of the first companies I call for any plastic tubing related needs. Usually on the phone, they can guide me quickly to an ideal solution and/or alternate solution.

Strengths: Large inventory of popular sized tubing. Lots of material choices and knowledgeable sales and technical consultants.

Needs to improve: Prices are a bit on the high side.

Highly recommend this supplier for catheter shaft needs.

Strengths: 1. Zeus offers variety of polymeric tubes in different dimensions.
2. Catheter field has gone to the next level because of various flexible Pebax available at Zeus.

Needs to improve: I have not had any problem with Zeus. Their product is great and I have not had any supplier related issues.

Quality of product is great, but when there are issues, it is difficult to get them to focus on root cause analysis.

Strengths: They have a competitive advantage for fluoropolymer extrusion over all of their competition.

Needs to improve: If you are not a high volume customer, it is difficult to get engineering resources for solving issues.

They are a local Bay Area company that specializes in polymer heat shrinking tubing. We currently do a lot of business with them on a regular basis. We order various size tubing which we us for our assembly needs. You can't go wrong with them or their product.

Strengths: Company is large enough that if their off-the-shelf product is readily available and can be shipped quickly; great for prototyping

Needs to improve: Company not as willing to work with you on pushing the boundaries of their technologies

I recommend other companies for using ZEUS for ordering polymeric tubing or extrusions with smaller diameter tubes. Great vendor for medical device manufacturer.

Needs to improve: I am happy with the Zeus service, so really couldn't write about their weakness.

Supplier for plastic tubing that is micro diameter for catheter manufacturing and other delivery devices. The tubing is always fexible and slides nicely for smooth non invasive procedures. The quality is always there and the vendor never misses a required shipment.

The quality of their off-the-shelf heat shrink and tubing are very good.

Strengths: They offer PTFE, PET tubing and heat shrink.

Needs to improve: As expected from a big company, they aren't always willing to push the edge of their capabilities if you're at a small company or have estimated low quantities.

Always great people. The off the shelf stuff is top notch. They try hard on custom extrusion but can come up short sometimes, but very rarely and these extrusions were extremely difficult.

Strengths: PTFE tubing is excellent. Industry Standard!
