Fisher Scientific

Bought a lab oven and it was delivered in January 2022. It sat in the box til June because we were waiting to have it validated. One year later In June of 2023 , during a cycle, it blue a fuse. Replaced the fuse and it lasted til December. Now it blows a fuse in a week. Fisher Scientific basically said too bad, it's over a year old so we can't help you. The oven was $3,000 and validation $4,000.00. You would expect the oven to last longer than that. It seems this company is starting a downward turn.

My company contracts Fisher Scientific to supply all of our lab equipment for our 3 locations. They have very high quality products that are reliable, accurate and never give us any issues. Due to their high quality we never have to worry about the tools we are using and we can focus on producing the best product possible. I have also had a chance to work with both their sales and customer service teams and it has been a pleasure. They are highly knowledgeable and work hard to make sure exactly what we need with a quick turn time. I would highly recommend using Fisher Scientific as they do not disappoint.

We ordered our microscope lamps from them in the past. These lamps are great for when your soldering or doing inspections of circuit board tracers. They mount nicely to your work benches and are fairly easy to move around if need be. Besides light bulb changes their really isn't anything you should be concerned about.

Strengths: Great supplier of lab equipment. We have order from them a couple of times before and we have always received a great product and service. They really go out of their way to please the customer.

Needs to improve: We ordered some microscope lamps form them in the past and never had any issues with them.

High quality microscope lamps ideal for our boutique assembly as they ensure that all of our circuitry is modified correctly and accurately. Their products are functional, reliable and ultimately, streamline our systems. Customer service is helpful and always available regarding inquiries. Our basic chemicals (solvents and acids) are from Fisher Scientific since they are one of the industry leaders, but more importantly, their chemicals are consistent from lot to lot, with VERY LITTLE variation. Additionally, their bioreagents are made on dedicated lines, which is critical for maintaining purity. I haven’t had any issues with my cells when using Fisher Scientific chemicals.

Overall I've had a positive experience with Fisher. Prices are good and they ship fast.

Strengths: I've used Fisher Scientific to supply me with lab equipment and supplies for over 20 years. They have one of the biggest catalogs out there and stock a huge variety of brand name and generic supplies for any R&D Lab. Everything from beakers to clean room supplies, if it exists these guys will carry it.

Needs to improve: As with most mail-order style businesses, if you have questions you'll get limited answers.

Our experience has been great they supplied us with chemicals for our lab ,they are very trust worthy chemicals that work at high quality performance. Using these on daily basis you really get to know the product and see if its worth ordering again.and we will order again in the future for sure.

Check out their overstock and specials for some good discounts. Limited selection, but if you find what you need then a great deal can be had.

Strengths: Large selection of products with most in stock. Able to ship quickly when needed . Able to order anything from basic glassware to complex analysis equipment.

Certificate of calibration can be had with many products.

Needs to improve: Nothing special about them other than size. Some items can be had much cheaper.

we keep a pretty big supply of their alcohol and other solutions to clean up and remove any dirt and debris found on our finished machines before they are boxed and shipped off. the alcohol is excellent for cleaning machines and also cleaning other supplies in the lab such as dry erase boards, and table tops. A+

Fisher Scientific is a great vendor to work with. They carry a wide selection of lab equipment and chemicals. From our experience of ordering lab equipment, we have been very happy as their equipment is highly durable and their support staff always delivers on a timely fashion. Pricing is competitive too.
