Dino-Lite Scopes

Please note, this review is for one of their scopes that we bought 3-4 years ago but still are using. Not the newest models.

Dino lite was a life saver. We need to take some close up images of our product for an FDA submission. We could have gone out and bought and expensive microscope with a camera mount, but we can across Dino-lite. We were able to get one of their entry level digital microscopes in a few days to take the pictures we needed. Later we started to use it for quick inspections and also for failure analysis. It can be a bit tricky to get the part in focus that you need or the correct lighting, but overall they work great. They have limited field of focus but they do the job.

These are not the best method out there for inspection. If you really need a high resolution, great inspection instrument and want to spend the money, get a Keyence or one of the others. If you need a quick and dirty, let me see what is there ability, these are perfect especially with the price of the low end being around $125.

Strengths: They are cheap for what you get. They work as advertised but no bells and whistles. A basic digital scope for the quick and dirty work. Great to have on your desk for when you need.

Needs to improve: Limited field of focus. Sometimes hard to get the lighting right to see what you need. Quality is lower that other options out there but nothing compares at this price point.

Great quality microscopes. We use for inspecting micro catheters, stents, and coils. I have had a good experience using their scopes and they are user friendly. Dino-lite is willing to work with you to make a custom product and will send someone to your facility to work with you on qualifying the scope if you run a manufacturing line in-house. The process took us a bit of a long time so be patient. The end result is good though and I'd be happy to recommend to anyone in the medical device industry looking to set up optics for in-house inspection. Price is on the higher side but money well spent.

The dino-lite camera/microscope system is a an incredible piece of equipment. I use it in conjunction with another piece of measurement equipment to display the components on a computer monitor at high magnification. The resolution and quality of the image is excellent. The refresh is excellent and doesn't experience a lag that sometimes occurs with other camera systems. The price for this is also incredibly well priced for the quality of equipment and functionality. I have and also use CCD cameras on other pieces of equipment and the dino-lite is my preferred on costs and quality both, which is many times difficult to excel in both.

Strengths: The Dino-Lite camera and microscope system is a an amazing equipment. I use it in conjunction with a X-Y turntable for our incoming inspection process. Dino-Lite is a compney with a large selections of Digital Microscopes. The model we purchase has a rotatable polarized light filter (polarizer) that is useful for suppressing glare from reflective materials, such as metals, plastics, or glass. The resolution and quality of the image is excellent. The price for this is also well priced for the quality of equipment and functionality. Quotes are accurate and delivery was on time. I would highly recommend to others.

for years i’ve used navitars and canons as a way to magnify and image small parts. i stumbled across dino-lite while attending a conference and was blown away. it’s compact and easy to set up. it’s also cheap compared to traditional systems. most importantly though, it does an excellent job of magnifying small parts (we’re talking microns here). it’s also easy to move the setup from one station to another. although, it’s so inexpensive you can just buy one for every station, if needed.

we recently just purchased a Dino Lite for our lab, oh wow! i can't believe i didn't know about this until now. This is such a cool piece of equipment. great camera system and so easy to set up and get yourself going. the display quality is great and so cost effective for what you get. we may order another one or two because of the quality and price of the equipment

I was asked to purchase a coupld of Dino-Lite AM4815z7l scopes for our bench testing. They are tiny and powerful in light and clearness. We all love the products. Customer service is very helpful to help me exactly what I needed. It is a little pricey but it is worth it because of the quality and huge in benefit.

Strengths: Slim and space saver scopes. Bright and light. Helpful customer service.

Needs to improve: Expensive but worth it

we have several of their microscopes in our facility and recently received a new one and we are very happy with it just as we are happy with the other ones, they are great company and we enjoy doing business with them and we know they are great quality .

Dino-Lite is an amazing alternative to the expensive Navitar systems! We were using them to magnify the inspection area and it's worked out great. There's very little delay from the time the part is moved to when the action is relayed onto the display. Since it's compact, the system can be easily moved from one workstation to another.

Strengths: Compact Digital Microscopes/Imaging System

We use a small Dino-Lite camera with a micro-measurement system. The camera is perfect for verifying that we are measuring the intended feature (to be clear, we don't use the Dino-Lite video for measurement). The cameras are small, easy to use and not overly pricey - what more can you ask?

Great camera for taking Macro picture or mounting Scope on fixture for visualization. I use the Dino lite camera mount on the equipment for alignment prior to the weld. Also, some of the part I am working on it's small therefore, Dino Lite camera is a great tool for taking picture use for write report.

We have had a really good experience ,we have a few of their microscopes in our facility ,they work excellent ,they are high quality .we received them fast and on time ,the order was very accurate .Thanks Dino-Lite .

A coworker recently introduced me to Dino-lite. I had previously been using a cheap quality but quickly realized that the quality does not compare. Mirages are very sharp and the large offering of accessories allows for a broad range of applications.

Strengths: Greta quality, low cost USB microscopes with large number of available accessories.

We use their portable handheld microscopes for those hard to reach areas. The copes are very reliable and are very easy to use. The sales staff is very help and will get you the right product that suits your budget and applications

We bought one Dino-Lite Edge. We love it so much that we bought one of each of our visual/video system. They are not only give us good light source, the magnification is excellent too. We are happy with pricing and quality. Smart technology

Great scopes selection. But, we have recently purchased Several of the PRO Compound Digital Microscopes for the R&D lab. We mfg micro coils, so the scopes make the job easier. The quality of the scopes have surpassed expections.

They are easy to set up and comparatively cheaper than other systems. You can buy plenty of them for all your stations. They do a great job magnifying small parts. They are very easy to use as well as very easy to move.

We looked into purchasing a Navitar for visualizing small parts during inspection, but it was difficult to justify the price for its purpose. Luckily, we stumbled across the Dino-Lite, which fits the bill perfectly! The camera is expensive and works well with little lag.

Love the Dino Lite for its flexibility and the price tag. Accomplishes both measurement duties and visual inspections. When used with a digital setup, you can use these for precision measurements both in a lab or in a production environment.
