They were able to help us with machining a critical component out of Titanium when others could not attend to our specific needs. There customer service and pricing is always great. They can also, machine and assemble our tool fixtures dealing with external sourcing for hardware, etching, hardware, etc...

Strengths: They were able to machine Titanium when others could not. They have high product quality, good service, reliability and can supply FAI, certs, specs as required.

Needs to improve: They sometimes don't inform purchasing when they are late or run into issue with either, internal or external services, competitive pricing, etc...

I was researching alternative local machine shops and Lux seemed to fit the bill. They have CNC and Lathe capabilities. They even do assembly work. Decided not to go with Lux but I am sure that they do good work based on what I saw and my interactions with there sales staff and management.

Strengths: Local to SF South Bay, CNC machining, Lathe ISO 9001 certified

Needs to improve: Lead times, expensive

Ordered a lot of machined parts from them takes longer than the time they quote and delivered the parts to my place late so they need to deliver the following business day.

Strengths: Service is just alright, local but have a longer turn around than usual. A little bit pricey

Needs to improve: Not well organized and price is not as competitive

Their CNC and lathe capabilities indedd. Lux were able to help us with machining a critical component. They have good customer service and pricing is always great.
