MeKo is one of the few companies that we deal with internationally. They are experts when it comes to nitinol materials and electropolishing of metal. Their domestic representative is very knowledgeable and has come to our facility a couple times to explain to use the products they have and the service they provide. We were able to benefit from their electropolishing service for surface treatment of our coils. Their service rep is very knowledgeable and receptive to feedback. The pricing is very competitive even compared to domestic alternatives. Shipping times are longer obviously but order in large volumes and they offer better pricing. I will continue to use their service and highly recommend them.

My company contracts MeKo for components for our assembly line of medical devices production. MeKo provides products and services at a very high standard that is apparent in the reliability of their components and responsiveness of their customer service team. We have not had any issues as far as defects or infant stage failure with their products. They're extremely durable and of high quality. Customer service was
top notch and had industry expertise. Such high end quality and service does not come cheap, be prepared to pay up but worth it for the reliability of the end product. Overall we were decently satisfied.

I have worked with MeKo on the development of several nitinol implants and they have always come through us. They can provide expert consulting on design development and can even provide FEA analysis if needed. In addition, they develop the tooling and manufacturing process necessary to produce the parts. Additionally, they perform extensive testing and inspection. We have an extremely low rejection rate at incoming inspection.

Strengths: Full service Nitinol design, development, processing and testing and inspection. They are able to laser cut, expand, hone, and surface treat nitinol components. Excellent quality and customer service.

Needs to improve: They are little slow when it comes to developing prototypes and their cost is a little on the high side.

MeKo is a great Laser Cutter and Electropolisher of Medical Devices. If you need Stent or Stent like devices cut and polished MeKo is your supplier. They have developed capabilities to hold extremely tight tolerances which enhances one's capabilities during product development. Their ability to hold micron level tolerances allows you to understand the nuances of your design, so you can optimize your design. They want to work with you and will adjust their processes based on feedback from your design testing. Just Awesome!. The truly become a partner and not just a vendor.

We contracted MeKo in the past for components for our assembly line of medical devices. We usually like to keep our business local but MeKo was competitively priced and offered products we were looking for. They hold themselves to a very high standard that is apparent in their components and customer service. We haven't had any issues with their products. They're well made and durable. Customer service was professional and knowledgeable of the industry. They walked us through the entire ordering process and kept in constant contact. Overall we've had a great experience working with them. Would happily refer them to others.

designing an implant is no easy task. it requires multiple iterations before even obtaining a decent and workable design. meko makes this process much more pleasant. they are very receptive to feedback and happy to work with their customers to obtain the customer’s desired results. unlike other stent manufacturers where they only want to take a mature product and mass produce it, meko does not shy away from small, prototype jobs. they have earned my loyalty and respect.

We try to do everything in house to cut on costs and to keep our designs private. However there comes a time in every companies lives that there's a need for outside help. Meko was ours, they did what we wanted, the cuts were precise and polishing was amazing. If we did it in-house it would not have been the same. They are very professional to work with and kept our designs confidential which is a huge plus. Not many firms out there that have the level of integrity as these guys.

Meko supplied us with nitinol stents that were impressive. Having tried to process nitinol in-house, we only appreciated their quality after a steep learning curve. Their parts were always impeccable, consistently dimensioned, and met our amazingly tight tolerances. They were easy to work with, but had to deal with them very little on the manufacturing side since their products were of high quality. One issue was supply was inconsistent, aiming to the fact that the stents were difficult to manufacture. However, their quality was superior. Excellent design and manufacturing house.

It is a German company, and the reputation of German precision and attention to detail definitely follows the culture of the manufacturing of the products.
The sales representative/engineer i work with domestically has been additionally helpful in facilitating our needs as well.
The company attempts at their best to meet all our needs which not only includes the engineering/manufacturing needs, but also the regulatory needs to properly file for the FDA and CE.

one of the few stent mfg. that generally are willing to work with and collaborate with the customer. one challenge with many stent. mfg. are their lack of customer service when it comes to small start-up projects as they prefer large volume accounts. meko has been good about working through the development with the small companies and collaborate throughout the process.

Needs to improve: They use proprietary methods for processing nitinol, so it is difficult to perform quality audits and obtain information for FDA submissions, but they are usually happy to provide the information directly to the regulatory agency.

MeKo worked with us to provide super high tolerance parts which allowed us to range find our design. This significantly reduced our development time. When transferring to production they continued to hold tight tolerances giving us a great CpK, while still maintaining competitive pricing.
