Optinova

Optinova created Thermoplastic polymer resign extruded tubing per our internal design specifications. The tubing was used in catheter design along with a metal braid. Optinova familiarized themselves with the metal mesh/braid and created their design with our original concept in mind. These level of broad technical expertise and customer service is hard to come by in the extrusion industry. We have repeatedly used Optinova for composite tubing products or multilayer projects. They also meet their quoted time and cost. It is expensive, but for more difficult products proves to be well worth the cost. The lead times are long, but accurate so you can plan your project around these timelines with confidence.

Optinova has supplied FEP and PTFE heat shrink tubings of excellent quality. We had a process where a portion of our catheter OD was very tightly controlled. Competitor heat shrink tubings were just not cutting it until a rep referenced Optinova. After understanding our requirements, Optinova delivered and began supplying excellent quality heat shrink tubings with consistent dimensions. Their price, leadtimes were not competitive, however, but it is a trade-off with high quality. They do not have a wide selection of capabilities like Zeus, but are experts in the select few tubings they do extrude.
