We make life-sustaining devices, and depend on ACRO to supply us with pneumatic valves, stepper motors, and various pneumatic assemblies. Daily I find a problem with a valve, motor, or other aspect of the pneumatic. Most of the stuff has been checked by an ACRO employee within the last 12 months and its still failing.
Strengths: N/A
Needs to improve: They overcharge, the overlook simple defects, they resell defective products, their "new" products come with defects.
We have been dealing with acro for a many years now and I really don't know why we continue to so business with them. They have some of the worst pressure actuation valves these valves do get the job done but the replacement rate with these valves is very high do to valves either leaking pressure or not even actuating at all.
Strengths: They do have good costumer service and they are local is a plus but that's about it.
Needs to improve: The quality of their products especially their valves need some serious improvement. That is their biggest problem is dependable pressure valves
I use acro products everyday at work. As of lately the quality hasnt been there. Weve had a lot of problems with the oumps they supply as and as a result we are forced to repair in house which is time consuming.
Strengths: Local
Needs to improve: Work is getting sloppy
I have worked with them on a stepper motor assembly for our pumps and their fixtures need to be refined - did not have an understanding of the whole picture. I redid the fixture's and along with work instructions and this guarantied that they were able to produce our stepper motor assemblies within specification every build cycle. Acro is good at interfacing with our R&D, Manufacturing and Purchasing to keep costs inline with our overall project - price conches. They are a company that is good at maintaining a great working relationship within all groups.
Strengths: Product Quality, Work Instructions, Customer service, Contract Manufacturer, Lead Time. Project Mangement
Needs to improve: Acro Associates needs to have a clear set of documentation to ensure the parts are built correctly - each build cycle. They are weak at fixture design.
Produces what we need in an individual product. Cannot produce affordable high volume products.
Strengths: ACRO has the ability to produce custom made pumps/valves based on design.
Needs to improve: Contracted vendor with CUSTOM MADE assembly equipment. Difficult to reproduce their end product, even with our design. They have a VERY expensive refurbish program. Not very honest with simple refurbishment of product. Charges they same $$$ for minor upgrades. Very small business with expectations to produce quantities. Sometimes unlikely (production stoppage).

we order and use acro's pumps for our dialysis machines regularly for years and these pumps can use a lot of improvement. we sometimes find loose screws inside the pump assembly and also we have a lot of problems with the optical sensors which is slowing down our production line at the moment.
Strengths: fast shipments
Needs to improve: sometimes we find loose screws inside the pump assembly.
Acro Associates is our company's pump motor resource. The product that they have been providing to us have been failing for many different causes. Three of the causes are as follows: Optical sensors from the pump motor is misaligned, Valves are Leaking and the tubings are kinked in. They need a big improvement.
Strengths: Can't think of anything
Needs to improve: low quality product, unreliable motors, leaking valves
Acro is our current supplier of pressure actuation valves. Sometimes they can be the best valves and sometimes they can be the worst. One major perk is that Acro is literally 4 blocks away from us so getting parts on short notice is hardly ever an issue. All in all they are a good supplier of pneumatic pump assemblies and pneumatic actuation valves.
Strengths: For the most part Acro carries good pressure actuation valves.
Needs to improve: Sometimes their valves don't last very long once installed in our machines and their out in the field. We replace a lot of these valves.
We use alot of their pneumatic pump assemblies at my work on our medical devices. I have to say the quality of the pump isn't so great at all. I install them into our machines. There's too many problems with them not functioning correctly.
Strengths: None
Needs to improve: Poorly assembled products
We've used their pumps and valves. Very disappointed in the quality of the parts. Missing items from pumps and so on. Tubing is often kinked out of the box. There are better alternatives out there
Strengths: None that I know of
Needs to improve: Lacking in quality
We get alot of important parts from this company and its mainly pumps and other sorts of parts at work but the quality is real poor. The functionality of the part is horrible!
Strengths: Fast delivery
Needs to improve: Bad quality products.

Needs to improve: none
We're a small assembly that routinely works on specialized client prototypes. We source specific values and pumps from Acro for their quality and reliability. Staff is very knowledgeable and always helpful when pointing out inefficiencies in our systems. Accurate quotes, quick turnaround and order flexibility give us the capacity to work on one off projects in the hopes of expanding our business and production. Great management as exemplified by their quality solutions.
Strengths: knowledgeable staff, customer service, durability, ease of ordering, quick turnaround
Needs to improve: none
We use acro to assemble pump assemblies for our work. The quality isnt very good. We now have to rework most of the pumps we get. Quality isnt great
Strengths: None
Needs to improve: Shipping. Quality
Acro is by far the worst supplier of pneumatic pump assemblies. Customer service is a joke just like the products they produce.
Strengths: Conveniency
Needs to improve: Poor workmanship Does not own up to their mistakes
We have recently contracted with Acro for their solenoid valves. They have great variety with high quality designs. Our previous contractor has gone out of business and we have heard nothing but great things about acro inc. They proved me right, and we love to go far with them in business. Their ethics are great and they have a very knowledgable staff to always help.
Strengths: very well designed products, many valves to choose from with durable qualities.
Needs to improve: none at the moment
Acro is our source of pump motors and pneumatic valves. As for my experience, their pumps are easy to install. However, parts are missing, valves are leaking, sensors are not updated sometimes, tubing are pinched in and many more issues. The product has a poor reputation..
Strengths: strong materials, useful, good customer service, fast and easy to install.
Needs to improve: Missing parts from pump motors, not updated, valves are most of the time, leaking.
there are always defects with parts that they send to us
Strengths: there a service on prviding parts for the company i work for
Needs to improve: not so good quality.
We use their pumps and valves at work and they have alot of problem. Not very good experience with their product.
Strengths: None
Needs to improve: Low quality product
