Ayala Research Corp

Don't let the name fool you. The only "research" here is the one that you have to do to find another vendor. I totally agree with the other review here. Although the quality of machining may be pretty decent, the total experience was not the best.

The capabilities of Ayala have the potential to be good, however, dealing with management can strain all collaborative efforts. The owner seemed to know medical devices better than the customer and wasn't hesitant to say so.

Peridot would be a much better alternative.

Ayala Research is a very capable rapid prototyping firm and they can do good work, but the attitude of the owner is a big turn off. We have a very talented and capable team of engineers and when we turned to Ayala to produce prototypes from our design, he was very difficult to work with and actually tried to lecture us on the deficiencies of our design and even implied that we were not very good engineers.

Strengths: Ayala Research has rapid prototyping capabilities that include product concept and development of visual models, working prototypes, pre-production versions and full tooling for production.

Needs to improve: Very poor customer service and very expensive

Quality and Cost is good

Strengths: I have used Ayala Research for a few of my small prototype runs and had no major issues with them. They were able to quickly take our design and build our fixtures with a reasonable amount of lead time which met our deadlines. I agree with the previous reviews that they can improve on their customer service. They were not as responsive as I would like. Overall, I was satisfied with the cost and quality of the work. Orders were placed accurately as expected and delivery as they promised.

Needs to improve: Customer Service not as Responsive.

Seems to be a common theme here. We have worked with Ayala in past on a few prototypes. Do not have anything negative to say about the actual work quality; in fact the work quality was excellent with fast turnaround at a decent price. The customer service was very lacking and there is definitely room to improve here.

Strengths: Great at prototyping at a fair price. Very knowledgeable staff.

They will make a concept for you of something you want for a fair price! They are always a good help! The customer service is very good!
