Sales staff were quick to respond, and well-informed.

Strengths: I asked the salesperson I spoke to some technical questions about the product and received the information I asked for, with no unnecessary schmoozing or hyperbolic promises, and he provided good guidance in terms of which product was the right one for us; I consider this - providing information requested with a minimum of hustle - excellent sales technique.

Needs to improve: None to speak of as of yet - the system as specced is of high quality parts and the price is quite reasonable. I see no reason to anticipate problems.

In all my years working in IT I've never worked with a vendor willing to go the extra mile the way iXsystems has. When I contacted them about using one of their systems in a way that it was not designed or marketed for I fully expected a "no, it doesn't work" answer. But they have been excellent in working with my needs, even testing things out for me. It is such a joy working with them I would not hesitate to recommend them and their products to anyone.

iX has been one of our primary vendors for over two years now. We've had a huge range of requirements, including purchasing dozens of systems at a time, creating very complex file servers, and ordering individual components. We've worked with much of the team over the past years and our rep, Kevin, has done a great job connecting us with the right people. RMA, support, and hardware issues have been responded to extremely quickly. I have no hesitations working with them in the future and have every intent to.

We've been working with Kevin and iX Systems for over 6 months, and they've been a breath of fresh air compared to previous storage vendors. Quick, knowledgeable staff and awesome hardware has made implementing huge storage systems easy. Now I can get back to what really matters, instead of chasing down companies and fighting to get quotes. I'll admit that I was on the fence as I've only ever worked with FreeNAS at home, but they've made an enterprise ready product that hits way above its price range.

Good server for good price - boss wanted an over spect DELL at above 4 times the cost. Even for a Dell of similar spec this was half the cost. Helpful - recommended a server that was suitable to our current and future needs without trying to upsell to something way more than we would ever need. patient people - IT took a long time to sort out the budget, go ahead to buy from head office but the sales person, Kevin, was always patient and helpful.

We've had the pleasure of working with Kevin Le and Chris Williams at iXsystems. They're both very responsive and accommodating to our needs, even when our needs shift or are atypical. Their input on whether a solution is right for us has been invaluable.

Further, their sponsorship of the free and open-source FreeNAS project paired with their knowledge of hardware allows them to be very effective at addressing a wide range of storages needs.

Having used the FreeDNS product for years, I was very happy to find out that the Enterprise version of their hardware carried forward all the FreeDNS capabilities I'd become accustomed to inside of some great hardware with a good warranty and excellent service.

Needs to improve: Had to purchase through a reseller. I still have direct access to iXSystems for support, but had to make the final purchase through an authorized reseller.

Worked with Kevin and ix systems on a deal for a mutual customer. As the leasing company, we place POs with our customer vendors of choice. Kevin worked very quickly to turn around updated quotes and the necessary documentation to set up CSC with terms. It is always nice to work with vendors who help facilitate the process with urgency, especially when a customer needs rapid turnaround. Most importantly this makes the end-user satisfied with his choice of vendor and leasing company. Thanks again Kevin!

Looking around for solutions to replace my under performing Isilon for a NFS DataStore for my VMware environment. After reading about the benefits of ZFS, and looking for solutions. Bang for the buck ended at iX Systems and TrueNAS. A 3U system running TrueNAS and 14 NL-SAS drives out performed the aging Isilon with over 120 SATA spindles(both same 7.2k spindle speed). I went from 16U of space in my Co-Location to 3U and performed better on my small 200 VM environment. Great Stuff!

Through excellence, iX replaced all of our other server vendors with more competitive quotes and better quality builds. iX knows their hardware matrix and support better than the OEM. If you are looking for many 9's of quality and a way to make your small or busy team go further faster, lean on the team at iX. The sales guys (Kevin and Brett) have been more knowledgeable than the average engineers at much of the competition. Get quoted there for your next purchase!

While my requirement was simple (a single workstation for personal use), iXsystems made me feel like a high-volume corporate customer with their responsiveness and attention to detail. My sales rep (Thomas) corresponded with me often with clear dialog that resulted in a very efficient order experience. In a short amount of time we were able to build a system that will best fit the needs of my family and I. I wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend iXsystems for any future workstation/server needs.

Being in the cloud backup business we needed enterprise storage, but given the competitive nature of our service, we needed enterprise capabilities without the associated costs. iXsystems definitely provided that balance and then some. We had a great experience in the setup and configuration and iXsystems was very helpful from start to finish. We have since expanded our storage systems several times due to business growth, which was very effortless. The systems have been very reliable and we are very satisfied with the value we received. iXsystems has provided great support and are always helpful. We would not hesitate to make future purchases as our needs grow.

Ixsystems has performed exactly as advertised. It has provided us with the ease of a graphical user interface with all of the power of ZFS. Any issues have been fixed quickly and they have been few and far between. We have used the big name SAN/NAS storage companies for many years and Ixsystems has met or exceeded everything they do for a fraction of the price. I would not hesitate to recommend Truenas/Freenas for mass storage needs.

Can't recommend enough for the service provided during the configuration and solution phase. The rapid response and attention to needs and details is second to none (even the ones that the customer overlooks!) Kevin's assistance in explaining the options and making an expert recommendation are priceless. Received our first chassis - build quality and packaging both excellent. Configuring for production now, and will be posting an additional review of the unit as it's brought into production.

iXsystems has been a great partner in delivering solutions to our clients. We need solid storage with great performance and these guys deliver a solution that helps us keep our clients happy. Their support has been very responsive to our needs and has helped us craft the perfect solution to maximize the storage investments.
