Recently I was given a budget to buy computers, iPad mini, an Android smartphone and an iPhone. While the options and selections were great (I bought 2 laptops, an iPhone 5, iPad mini and a Galaxy S3) the prices were high compared to online vendors and the speed of service was slow. Overall it was a decent experience.

Strengths: Convenience, options, proximity, service.

Needs to improve: Pricing.

We had a last minute corporate breakfast with regulators. We were told all 15 wanted some sort of coffee beverage but didn't care about specialty flavors too much. We called a local Starbucks (they share a parking lot with us) and they took our order and even delivered it to us before the meeting began. The only fault would be the pricing but for a rush job that can be expected.

Strengths: Speed, quality, service.

Needs to improve: Their prices are really high!

My department uses FedEx on a daily basis for local, domestic and international shipping. They have proven time and time again to be reliable and timely. The only knock is that their online tracking can be lagging at times but that said, it usually catches up in a few hours.

Citibank was brought into our department to analyze and give options on ways to save money for the next 3 quarters. While their options for improving management quality could be useful the cost saving tips were minimal. Our department decided to internalize and use our group to investigate new ideas.

Strengths: Consulting, and management solutions.

Needs to improve: Cost saving analysis.

I was given the okay to charge the corporate card to buy a co-worker an edible arrangement. It was told that they were her favorite fruit company and she had been going through a rough patch lately. The options were plentiful and the delivery was timely. The price point was a little high but then again it was on the corporate card. Overall good experience.

Strengths: Variety, timely service.

Needs to improve: The price can skyrocket very easily!

With a previous employer a minor duty of mine was to interact with Shred-It by means of letting them in the building, showing them what was to be disposed of for the week, signing the weekly paperwork and recommending them (or not) for contract extension to the higher-ups. The service guys were always friendly, well mannered/professional and on time.

Strengths: Timely, professional and secure.

Needs to improve: Sometimes the price can be a bit high.

Subway catered our 2013 4th quarter company state of the union event. The sandwich options were plentiful and the drinks supplied were cold, but the personnel looked tired and out of it. Also, the condiments were lacking in variety with only mayo being offered.

Strengths: Options, service, price, proximity and value.

Needs to improve: Lack of resource and condiments.

Logitech keyboards were delivered 3 months ago and although the speed of the delivery was very good the design and innovation the the keyboards seems to be lacking. Keys were hard to press, shortcuts seemed out of place and the ergonomics are really lacking.

Strengths: Speed of delivery.

Needs to improve: Products seem to be lacking in innovation and design.

Samsung recently provided my Research Engineering group with Galaxy Note 3s. The large screen size allows for multitasking (charts, notes, presentations) do be done with ease. The pen provided allows for tasks do be completed faster (more accurate that fingertips).

Strengths: Samsung is great at providing products that work in the corporate world. From phones that multi-task to user intuitive apps, Samsung understands the corporate work mindset.

Needs to improve: With products being put into the market every few months, some products can get diluted and not given a chance to perform before replacement.

My last experience was pretty fine. A few times before that the courier knocked once then left my package in my front yard. It could be just a bad employee, all companies have them but it seems like service is very iffy at times.

Strengths: Speed of service, cost effectiveness.

Needs to improve: Some of their employees just suck! Thrown packages and sometimes they only knock once!

Overall I like PayPal. I have had an account for many years and only once was I skeptical of a transaction with a buyer.

Strengths: Ease of use, transaction time.

Needs to improve: Fees, sometimes transactions can be slow.

I go to Fry's for peripheral devices such as keyboards, mouse, monitor, card readers...etc. Some of the sales reps are not knowledgeable so do your own research before hand. Help can be hit or miss sometimes.

Strengths: Fry's offers a wide variety of products so you will most likely find what you are looking for.

Needs to improve: They offer so many products but not all are of the best quality.

I had a great experience with Vista Print. I had business cards made and the quality was outstanding.

Strengths: Quality of product, ease of use, price and delivery speed.

Needs to improve: At the time I used them it would be popularity.
