They are quick in designing extension and compression springs for us. They are very helpful with design alternatives. However, they do need some reminders and micro-managing in order to get the parts delivered to us on time. Their pricing is competitive in large quantities 10k +.

Strengths: They can design a variety of springs (extension and compression springs) when they're given a few specifications. They will notify the client if some specifications are unattainable due the specific reasons. They will work with the client to target the force spec, for example, by increasing the OD of the spring, etc. They give flexibility in their spring design.

Needs to improve: Their ability to hit the delivery date is poor, even with prototype quantities such as 300 EA. We have to call to confirm delivery date mid-way just to find out that the part delivery has been delayed for 1 to 2 wks. Once they know you're micro-managing them, they will eventually meet the delivery date.

This is a must use company because they have specialties capabilities with fine and ultra fine wire diameters and unique alloy types and shapes. We use Motion Dynamics Corp because they produce custom components just for our company needs, if we can come up with exactly what and how we need it they can produce it. With the highest standards and still able the have fastest services to produce prototypes in large quantity production, for our Medical and Electronics need make MDC number 1

Strengths: Wires Wires Wires Wires is what this company strengths are, also followed with experienced that manufactures precision components, springs, and wire assemblies.They have all you can want with great customer service. This is a go to company to get for great quality.

There are many companies that can perform coil winding and provide springs, but the top reason why I keep going back to Motion Dynamics is their excellent customer service. Chris, their President, has visited our facility on multiple occasions (even hand delivered the first prototypes of a component we were looking for them to source) to personally discuss new technologies MD is developing and existing components we currently purchase from them. Additionally, they have yet to turn down a job due to difficulty, which makes them a great asset during the prototype phase.

I have never been disappointed by Motion and I am amazed at their capabilities. We recetnly used them to design and develop a platinum coil with extremely dight dimensions and mechanical requirements and they were able to provide us with eveything we asked for. From the time they received our specicifications, it only took them about two weeks to provide us with samples. Their process capability that we measure based on parts at incoming inspection is very high.

Motion Dynamics has supplied marker coils for multiple companies I have been, indicating they are one of the standards for coil supply. Their capabilities are impressive, being able to process and trim microcoils with precision. I greatly appreciated their capabilities when trying to develop coil winding processes. One minor drawback was their pricing, hence why we developed coil winding in-house, but it would've been a small price to pay for superior quality. Their shipments were always on time and reliable.

The group at Motion Dynamics are aggressive and ambitious. One of our components was a small, short coil with a bend at the end and several companies I worked with before only wanted to provide the coil itself and suggested that we perform a secondary process in house to form the final bend. Motion Dynamics took on the challenge head on and worked with us to hone in their process. We still order that part from them after 5 years.

i was first introduced to motion dynamics 10 years ago and have taken them with me to every company i’ve been to since then. time and time again, i have been impressed with their ability to continuously improve themselves in the coil winding area and also in providing secondary services. they deliver product on time and are very reliable. they are a supplier you want to grow with.

I have worked with Motion Dynamics on several projects. Their capabilities and willingness to take on complicated projects is outstanding. Along with these complicated projects comes a more complicated quoting process, and I have been stuck in that loop a few times. I would definitely give them a call with any coil or wire forming needs.

The customer service and engineering support is excellent. The custom parts are all excellent in quality and workmanship. They have an array of services/skills (various spring mfg. methods, laser welding, etc) to suit your needs. they also work with various types of metals (SS, etc) and precious (Pt, gold, etc.)
