EMA provides our company with Electrical design tools, training and technical support. The training classes are very informative and provide engineers with a hands on jumpstart for learning new CAD environments. Customer support is also very good. I have called on then many times and solutions were provided in a timely manner.

Strengths: Electrical CAD tools, data management and Part Library Management systems, services, training, and technical support.

Needs to improve: NA

Samtec is great at providing unique connector solutions to fit our needs. The connectors that they offer can be customized. If you don't see it on their site, don't fail to discuss your need with one of their sales engineers. They also offer a quick sample order system for free samples.

Strengths: Samtec offers a large selection of connectors that are highly customizable to meet the customer requirements.

We have used Allegro Microsystems A3986 Stepper motor translator. Milind Patil at Allegro was very helpful in reviewing our design and also providing demo boards for early development.

We use Cartel for quick turm PCB's that we can assemble in house. Unfortunately Cartel does not offer a turn key solution for PCB fab and Assembly. Cartel has above average customer service and support.

We use Esterline's Medigenic line of Keyboards and Micefor our Diagnostic Instruments. When facing a technical issue surrounding a keyboard, Esterline worked fast and efficiently to mitigate the issue and meet our project schedule.

We use McMaster Carr for part order for test fixture building. They have so many parts to choose from and you can almost alway find something to suit your needs. They even have thing that you didn't know you need.

Strengths: Huge product offering to meet most demands.

We have used Advanced Circuits to build and Assemble PCB's. The quoting process is in 2 parts as the PCB fabrication and the board assembly operate as 2 separate entities. This could be streamlined from the customer prospective. However the quality and timeliness of work was excellent.

Strengths: Turn Key PCB Assembly

Needs to improve: Weak integration of PCB Fab and PCB Assembly process.

We use and have been using Motorola/Freescale semiconductor products for over 20 years. Freescale offers excellent customer support in the for of local FAE's through distributors. Freescale is also great at keeping designs around for long product life cycles.

Strengths: Large selection of micro controllers and microprocessors

We use devices such as DAC's, iCouplers, and numerous amplifiers throughout our electrical circuit designs. ADI's customer support is bet helpful with FAE's at local distributors. Also they are always willing to get us the latest and greatest to try out.

Strengths: Excellent selection of components. Quality and innovation is top notch.

We use Honeywell pressure transducers to detect possible clots when aspirating patient samples for in vitro diagnostics. Their sensors are accurate and perform as specified.

Strengths: Wide array of pressure sensing options

Needs to improve: Price

We use Molex connectors throughout our cable and PCB designs. Molecular provides excellent customer support and design expertise.

We use Tyco connectors for cable designs and PCB designs. Maria Santos is our point of contact and has always provided great customer support.

Wide selection of goods for stocking office snack cabinets. Always something new to try. The employees at Costco are always friendly and very helpful.

Needs to improve: Busy all the time. Sometimes long lines.

Igus supplies E-Chain components to us for use in routing flexible/moving cable assemblies. This product performs as described and is a wonder at keeping wire harnesses neat. Igus provide excellent service and customer support.

OSI provides manufacturing of numerous cable and wire harness designs for my company. Design Changes of released assemblies tend to be a headache. Leadtimes are often a issue with leadtimes as much as 16 weeks.

Strengths: Manufacture quality cable assemblies

Mouser is a great place to source components for prototype builds of electrical designs. They have a really nice parametric search on the site that helps narrow down what you are looking for, They are also fast in processing and shipping part orders.

Strengths: Huge selection of electronic components.

Needs to improve: Part backorders

Digikey is always the first place I look when sourcing components for circuit designs. It is rare that they do not have what I am looking for. Digikey has excelent customer service and fast processing and shipping of orders large and small. Digikey also does crosses on parts which has come in handy numerous times.

Strengths: Massive selction of electronic components as well as links to datasheets and well organized technical data.
