Great service with respect to Internal & External sales force, always will to help. They do what they say, price, delivery, specifications, etc... They have a large selection of products and they are readily available.
Can get the same service at every location - Customer Oriented!

Strengths: They have an extensive inventory and the warehouse to back it up. Their WEB site has about anything one can think off as follows: Adhesives, Mechanical, Electrical, Fasteners, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Hardware, Material, Pneumatics, Paint, Work Clothes, Etc... Their external sales force is more then helpful with getting specifications, certifications, samples, quotes, etc... Granger is like a one stop shop and if they do not have it, you can go thought them to acquire the product.

Needs to improve: They are not as price competitive with purchase of items through them. For example, I was in the process of purchasing a product through them that was expensive (quantity of 8) wanted to know if we bought a couple more can we get a discount - No was the answer. Ended up going through another vendor that save 20-25% off the item without increase on the quantity.

I have used Grainger to buy a lot of miscellaneous parts that I need for maintenance activities for work and home. I can always find a great price and a massive selection (sometimes too massive). Their customer service network is extremely helpful and usually not just a person googling your problem. They are usually very knowledgeable of the products they are selling. The parts are cheap in price and usually cheap in overall quality, but when I buy an air filter I am not expecting gold so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. You get what you pay for. But a cheap bolt, nut, filter, etc. can still get the job done right if you are aware of what you are purchasing.

Grainger was my "go to" supplier of industrial parts and tools for years. I only switched to McMaster-Carr after the rise of the internet. Grainger still makes for a suitable backup source for these products. The price and selection are only second to McMaster-Carr and they ship and deliver just as quick. Their catalog is organized in an easy to follow way and if you have a local Grainger store in your city, it's always nice to have a place you can run out to and pick something up in a pinch.

Strengths: Huge catalog of industrial parts and components. Quick shipping and delivery.

Needs to improve: McMaster-Carr still has Grainger beat in terms of price and selection, but Grainger still makes for a great alternative.

for the most part, grainger is a very helpful supplier in that there are multiple locations located around the US. it’s easy to put in an order and then pick it up at their store with will call. i’ve purchased brand named items like a fluke multimeter from them with no issues before and it still comes with the manufacturer’s certification so you can save on calibration the first year.

Needs to improve: they don’t let you know there is a backorder until after the order is processed, best to call a customer rep to know ahead of time

we use Grainger as one of our second party vendors for ordering hand tools and other lab equipment. they have a wide selection of hand tools and other lab equipment in stock on a regular basis. we usually use Grainger when we are in need of lab equipment and its the very last minute. we have placed countless over night orders for lab equipment and hand tools with them over the years and all of their shipment are always on time which makes them a very dependable vendor to us. their price range is fair and shipments are always on time as well.

we use grainger as our primary supplies for supplies. mainly cleaning supplies and replacements for our cleaning materials. we use the GP En Motion non-touch dispenser but we order the accompanying towels with Grainger bc the pricing is much more affordable. their online ordering site is easy to use, streamlined and they have a catalog available. if you need assistance, they have customer service reps you can either chat with online or contact via phone. whether you are small business like myself or a larger corporation, Grainger is the way to go for your supplies

Great service and support by the employees at the local stores.
I will generally go to Grainger if i have an immediate need for parts, since i can usually locate one nearby.
Sometimes parts may not be available in-store and may need to be ordered. Grainger does rival McMaster in supplying basic components, although McMaster may have a larger selection (only drawback from Mcmaster in the comparison is there are no local stores to go to if you have immediate needs).

Strengths: Large selection. A local store is generally near large cities and industrial areas to pick up parts immediately

Needs to improve: Local stores may not carry everything in their catalog. May need to order

We are a medical device manufacturer specializing in dialysis equipment . When ever we are in need of new tools or a specialty tool for a specific job we always turn to the Grainger catalog first. They always have exactly what were looking for and always at the best price. We are always ordering something from them they have a great reputation with us. We have ordered various power tools,hand tools,hardware, and supplies from them in the past and to the present day. You can definitely do business with them with confidence.

Needs to improve: Full retail price Because of so many items, locating the right item can be difficult Not all items stocked at all stores, if you need it immediately, you may be disappointed. Sometimes employees are not that good at helping if its not in the catalog

Our company has ordered various tools and testing equipment from Grainger through their website as well as on the phone with customer service when we've had questions. They are very helpful to find what we need, especially when we're unsure of specs of equipment. Huge selection of tools and industrial supplies so you should not have problems finding what you need. They also have various branch locations, have not had to send anyone in person, but the support you can receive in person is good to have. Would use again.

We order from them on a regular basis everything from tools to lab equipment . They are definetly not the cheapest in the market but you definetly get what you pay for with Grainger . They can also assist you with any specialty tool you made need as is one of the services we use use Grainger for.

What's great about them is they can be a one stop shop. If it's not on their catalog, they are willing to source it for you.

Strengths: I purchase just about everything from Grainger. They are one our approved source and our purchasing department has accounts setup with them, Which make purchasing easy. By seting up an account with them we get a discount. Their customer service reps are very responsive. We purchase Test Eequipment, Hand Tools and Power Tools, ete... They are use through out our facility. A wide selection.

Needs to improve: Quotes that are not in their catalog can take a while.

Our company experience with this vendor is not bad but not that great. We use Grainger for various works in our warehouse. Various works like installing, modifying or assembling of our products. Their services are good and reliable with quick turnaround times. Their customer service is very nice and knowledgeable to their services that helps us a lot. Price is just fair enough to their good work. A must try vendor is here so what are you waiting for.

Grainger has literally everything. With such a wide selection ranging from adhesives to hand tools, why wouldn't we reach out first when sourcing for our staff or our assembly. Their online portal is efficient and makes ordering very easy. Customer service is great and always just a second away from help. Accurate quotes, very quick shipping, good rates and the ability to streamline our procurement process, priceless! Time is money and Grainger allows us to save it. Great team and great experience.

Overall, they are a great supplier because they are everywhere. They have many B and M stores all over the country. They are easy to order and pick up from. I like their products but sometimes disappoint when you order it only to find out that they don't have it in stock and you have to wait since its on backorder.

I have ordered from Grainger for years now. I like a lot of their tool options over other supply houses and I really like that they offer Telemechanic switches. Now that I have become accustomed to their website, it is easier to find what I need an order it, but it is not as intuitive as other supply houses.

Strengths: Mostly quality products. I like their selection of switches better that McMaster Carr.

Needs to improve: Their website is hard to navigate and unless you know how to search, it can be a pain.

We order from them on a regular basis. If your looking for that certain tool for that special project Grainger gots you covered. We specifically have ordered lab work benches from them in the past,we always received our order in great shape with some assembly required but nothing to difficult all in all Grainger is a great vendor to do business with.

Strengths: The best thing about Grainger is their extensive catalog. They carry a wide variety of tools and equipment that fit any need you may have.

At work we use Grainger all the time to buy lab equipment, industrial safety suplies, tools, pumps and so much more. Rather than buying on line, I can actually walk into a real store and buy things that I would never have guessed would be ina saingle store. They have excellent customer service and a good return policy.

Needs to improve: A liitle more expensive than ordering online, but the conveneince makes up for it.

we just recently were running a new project involving our power supply in the lab and were looking for some new hand tools to try out for the project and we looked upon Grainger's tool catalogue for the project. we used some of their hand drivers and they actually worked out for us very well and we plan to order more in the future when we install the prototype into our machines full time. A+

I've used Grainger to purchase multimeters, fasteners, hand tools, even safety signs. The convenience of their local stores offers the ability to really obtain urgent parts for those line-down situations, something McMaster cannot offer for the Bay Area (but only if they are in-stock).
Although the selection is not as vast as McMaster, it is a good alternative to what I need, quickly. Prices are a hit or miss, and sometimes a BIG miss.
