Every time I have worked with this company, it has been an extremely unsatisfying experience. The Customer Service is horrible. Orders ship late and if I call to find out where my order is, no one knows anything. I'm always told "I'll call you back" and then no one EVER calls me back. I have to continually follow up with phone calls and emails and still never accomplish much. Trying to speak to a Supervisor or Manager is nearly impossible and they make excuses to not transfer me to another person higher up in the food-chain. Very unpleasant experience working with this company. I cringe whenever I see an order requisition on my desk to order something from Omega Engineering.

On the second of May I ordered 3 quick disconnecters for gas lines for my BMW 1150gsa, which cost me 113 euro's. That is a lot of money for three pieces of metal, especially when there are cheaper non metal pieces costing 50euro's in total.
After not receiving any shipping information I contacted them and they told me they would ship it on the 10th of May, with 1 or 2 working days to ship it over, it should have arrived on or before the 13th of May. But still no package or any information whether it has been shipped or not. Again I email them with the question where my package is but the same stories and today I received an email from UPS telling me it will arrive on the 18th of May. This is unacceptable and if I knew this before hand I would have canceled my order. I do not recommend them to other people and will never order anything again. It takes 16 days, yes 16 days to get your order and it bothers me that a lot that they made me pay 15 euro's for shipping!!

Placed an order for some Temp Controllers. It took 6 MONTHS for us to receive them when the confirmation said 2 weeks. All I needed was an ETA and for 6 months not a single customer service rep could answer that question. I received a generic answer of "we have to reach out to the plant and we will call you back." They never called back. On a separate occasion I ordered some TC Wire. The person who placed the order placed the order for a custom length and it took 4 weeks to get them. They were needed next day. How did customer service help me? They didn't. Instead the customer service rep threw a fit and blamed the whole thing on us. Save yourself the trouble and just go to Digikey or Newark.

I tried 10 times, 7 different ways to contact the company for more information about a product, which we are (were) eager to purchase. Online chat - broken. Website - didn't have the product's datasheet. Called engineering dept - on hold (multiple times). Call back option - no one called back. E-mailed - no one replied. Spoke to sales - didn't have any information on the product. Sales conference called in engineering support - line disconnected, no one called back.

In a separate experience, we used their load cells extensively in the past. While they appeared to work well at first, they had poor longevity/drift and ended up switching suppliers. As other reviews have noted, the business has taken a nose dive in product quality and customer service. Avoid Omega Engineering.

We use this company’s products to value our assembly process on the many medical devices we produce. The Quality products they provide such as some electronic parts that we use in our circuitry and electrical side of our assembly process, heavy duty hand and power tools all the way to component assembly equipment. Also in some of our calibration process we use a wide selection of inspection and medical instruments to acquire information that will follow the device process, through our testing and their products we always meet this goal, you name it they have it. The components and equipment we purchase when it comes to assembling small electrical components on the line or in our big machines their equipment are easy to use and great to work with. This company is very helpful and knowledgeable of their products to help completed an accurate order for our company. They are a great vendor to work with

Strengths: The service this vendor gives is excellent, efficient, and accurate with a wide selection of products. Working with this company they have always found and have the best competitive prices with a great shipping process for fast turnaround which mean quality service all the way around.

Needs to improve: None

The products are great, but the customer service is terrible - I would not buy from them anymore as they lost so many of my orders during the years, which has generated a lot of headaches! I would purchase from Newark instead.

Received 2 bad meters, called customer service "Jose" confirmed to send back, I still have the meters, this company refuses to stand behind their sales. I will never purchase another product from them

I have used Omega Engineering to purchase a strain meter and load cell. I initially purchased the wrong meter, but the technical sales person I spoke with easily directed me to the correct item. He was then able to assist me when I had questions when hooking up the load cell to the meter. Customer service at Omega Engineering is great and everyone is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about their products and electrical wiring in general. Omega's website is a little vague when it comes to noting what products are compatible with one another, but a call to customer service is all it takes to figure out what you need to purchase.

Knowledgeable Staff - Good Quality Product - Website is a plus which offers Online Chat and Order, View and Download Invoices, and Easy to Use.

Strengths: We have been using the Omega's Electronic Barometer PX02K1-26A5T for a few years now. Our Lab Engineers are very please with the device. The device has been reliable and we have never had any issues. The device is highly accurate and durable. We send the device out for calibration every year and it has always come back within manufacturing specification. It's a little bit pricey but that's what you are paying for the industrial grade device. The in-house technical staff was helpful in helping us select this model for our use which meet and exceeds our specifications.

Alternatively, any one part of this process is always available according to our requirements. Through their in-depth knowledge in all our applications and the combined experience and understanding with their multi-disciplined engineering and manufacturing teams, they were able to translate our requirements into working equipment quickly and effectively.

Excellent delivery and excellent performance for the price.
I routinely order gauges, measurement components, cheap DAQ, etc.
The components are cheaper and as stated below, don't expect National Instruments quality on the DAQ for the price of Omega, or Fluke quality for Omega DMM/meters.

All in all, still a go to supplier for parts in my address book.

Needs to improve: Some components are of lower quality construction as the compromise for the pricing. All the components still function well, but just realize, some of these parts aren't to the caliber of say a Fluke DMM, etc.

Omega has provided me with all types of thermocouples, thermometers, data acquisition systems. Their products were instrumental in manufacturing heat set oven systems as well as validating temperature profiles of convention oven equipment we had. Their customer service is courteous and knowledgeable. They thermocouples and systems can also hold tight tolerances and were used by our metrology department to calibrate other thermocouples in-house. Excellent products and highly recommended. Only issue I have was the pricing of custom thermocouples and the lead times, although quality was better than anywhere else.

Our firm purchased a couple pressure gauges from Omega Engineering Inc and the experience was quite satisfactory. The gauges were easy to install and have been very reliable. The larger numbers on the dials also make it easy to read. The people are Omega were also very pleasant to interact with. Their sales representative explained how each gauge was different and guided us to the ones that would work best for our needs. Once ordered, the products arrived in a fair amount of time. Overall good experience and would recommend!

at work, most of our thermocouples and pressure transducers are from omega engineering. their website is user friendly and straight forward to use. it’s also helpful since they suggest necessary accessories that would accompany the item you just put in your cart (e.g., suggesting a power cord after putting a power supply in the cart). it saves me the hassle of having to find it on the website myself.

Omega Engineering has become our one stop shop for measuring and various other electronic components for our company. We've build a great relationship with Omega over many months of sourcing products from them and we could not be happier. Not only do their products have exceptional quality, but all of their employees are greatly knowledgeable and are invested in their customer. I would highly recommend looking into them if you want a partner in the industry that is dependable and works with you as a trusted advisor for your company needs.

We purchased several 0-15 psi transducers and a data acquisition module for use in a benchtop flow model. Both pieces of equipment worked well together, and were fairly easy to use. The pressure transducers were easy to plumb into our system, but were a little difficult to bleed. We got it handled, and are very happy with the performance of the system. The software that came with the DAW module was limited, but easy enough to use and met our needs.

Omega is a fantastic resource, they have exceptional service and outstanding technical support. Their wide selection of products are second to none.

Strengths: Omega offers a wide selection of thermo-couples, panel meters, transducers and electronic components. Omega has a fantastic technical support staff and an incredible website. Prices are reasonable and are able to deliver quickly.

Needs to improve: Some items in their catalog are built to order and can take several weeks or even months to receive. I've encountered this problem on two occasions, but have ordered from Omega dozens of times.

My company has ordered many of products from omega, such as mass flowmeters, test meters and tempertures. We have used their products for our business and we can continue to use them now and in the future. Would reccomend their products to anyone in the business. Very satisfied with what I got. Never had any major issues that set us back in business.

Omega is one of the many vendors we use for our electronic components, particularly their thermodynamics couplers . They always send us pre tested components to insure we receive a reliable and dependable component. They also provide us with our pressure meters that we use for calibration and verification purposes. Always satisfied with their products and service.

Needs to improve: Nothing really to complain about. I really like that they are located here in the Bay Area.

Great customer service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent product range and availability. What more can you ask for? they are, and have been leading the industry in temperature monitoring and control for as long as I can remember - this doesn't happen by accident.

Strengths: I've been working for the same company for 23 years now, and I have yet to see any other company's name on ANY of our temperature measuring equipment. They are the best for a reason.
