We use Acme all the time to drop off parts to vendor and for pick ups. They have always provided timely service.

Strengths: They are quick to response and they deliver on time. They are competitive in pricing as well

Needs to improve: Improve their customer service in terms of how they verbally communicate with customers.

They are good vendor to use for production laser welding. Not so good for custom and managing different weld parameters for same parts.

Strengths: In-house expertise, meet the lead time, 30 years of experience in welding.

Needs to improve: Not good at following instructions on custom jobs. They need to have a solid routing procedure in place to avoid making mistakes

Once this vendor provides with acceptable first article parts, their process is in control. They do take a long time to get this place though. They have taken longer than normal time to respond to problems related to their parts.

Strengths: excellent technical expertise, quality system, and inspection methods.

Needs to improve: low customer service, delayed response, and long lead time.

They provided us with foam blocks quicker than other vendors could however we had to compromise on the quality of the foam blocks.

Strengths: Their sales rep is available to talk and meet in person usually. They also give you ideas on the foam block design.

Needs to improve: The quality of work is average. The final foam blocks that we received were dimensionally off, came dirty, and they weren't cut straight.

We got our laser star welder PMed by their technician. He did a great job and explained how to perform minor PM services and how the laser welder works. However, tt did take them a week to come out to perform the service.

Strengths: They provide great customer service. They have a strong technical expertise regarding the equipment, and Preventive maintenance service. They respond promptly and they patiently explain the solution to the problem.

Needs to improve: They don't have enough staff to be able to provide quick onsite service.

They came out and performed a preventive maintenance service on our 3-d printer. They even gave a quick tutorial on how to perform minor PM on the printer and taught us how to get the best results.

Strengths: They have a really good in-house expertise and they provide on-site service.

The printers that they sell are well built.

We worked with this company for a metal injection molded part. They took more than a year to get us production parts. However those production parts met the acceptance criteria.

Strengths: They have the capability for large scale production.

They design their molds and sintering blocks so that the part doesn't need secondary process.

Needs to improve: Long lead time and their inspection department needs more expertise.

I purchased a functional, used sterilizer for our company for a great price.

Strengths: They have wide variety of used equipments for a great price.

They have a webpage that shows their inventory with pictures.

Needs to improve: They don't provide installation service

I called their CEO and he explained to me the entire teflon coating process and what advantage it provides.

Strengths: In-house expertise that's have Ph.D. in the area of surface treatments and coatings.

Needs to improve: They are located in Florida so can't try coating small amount of feasibility parts. They only do large batches.

I can always get a good design ideas from Velco no matter if it's a product design or fixture design. They have accepted jobs that others don't want to quote. They have the expertise in making parts with complex geometry.

They are located locally to me and therefore it was very convenient for me to go over to them and purchase the testing equipment that I was looking for.

Strengths: They have expert in-house engineers that help you find the right testing equipment for your application.

I have used them several times. Great in finding out how to measure certain difficult features of the parts.

I usually use McMaster to purchase hardware and tools. Their service is accurate and consist of high quality
