TriNet

I can't tell you how terrible TriNet is. This is the second PEO we have used. They lasted only the one year, but we were ready to get rid of them after only 4 months. We had issue after issue with how they screwed up our payroll. Over and over again they were hard to get a hold of, did not remember any past correspondence, and did not seem to know what was going on. They treated us like less than worth their time. They took their time to get back to us when we needed their immediate attention on payroll which everyone should know has a strict deadline. On one payroll, they dated the direct deposit of one employee out 2 weeks after the proper date. When contacted, they stated that we need to write a check ourselves to pay our employee and they would reimburse us at our next payroll. We paid our employee so he would be covered, but how long did it take for them to reimburse us? It was months later. We had to ask them about it again and explain the situation all over again. Then they did not reimburse us but charged us for it again! Finally after having to explain to too many incompetent people, they finally realized how they had screwed up and fixed it. This was just one of multiple issues we had with them. They always made problems worse by forgetting about them or fixing them incorrectly. They really should not be in business if they can't do their job. I've never felt so abused by a company. They cost us so much money from all of the time we had to put into fixing their mistakes. They were supposed to make it easier on us and take some of our payroll work away. Instead we had to spend way too much of our own time. I truly hope people come to realize how poorly they do their job.

I have never ever given such a bad review online. I would like to leave zero stars if that's possible!
If you ever need to email them for sending forms, it takes about 2 weeks for them to reply your email. This is too long. But not just that, their stupid system can eat your email, in other words, they probably won't be able to receive your emails, even you send to the correct recipient. They won't apologize or try their best to make it up for you.
Whatever the problem caused by their system is all on you. This just ruined my Friday. Well done Trinet. I'm going to share my bad bad bad experience on every platform online.

Needs to improve: Everything! Bad customer service. Takes too long to talk to a representative over the phone. Takes too long to reply emails. Their system can eat your email, and they make it clear it's not their faults. When they do, they send you unclear long instruction emails.

Great for small to medium size companies which do not want to do all the payroll and benefits themselves. Better options for very small companies, but in their size range, the number one pick Trinet is very easy to work with and offers lots of options for your employees. They come in to the company before open enrollment to describe the options that you are offering. Makes it a lot easier on the employees during the process to hear what the differences are between the plans. Their website interface was also very easy to use. Able to easily compare plans, choose your plans, add dependents and see what your total costs will be. Their customer service was friendly to help answer questions especially as we offered a high deductible plan that qualified for HSA. One downside is their Cobra for employees after they leave is paper to send in manually. They do not have an online system for Cobra which is not convenient. On the payroll side... Easy, fast and reliable. What else do you need from a payroll system. Simple, easy to read reports that provide most of the information you want.

Strengths: Great customer service when you need it which might not be that often with how easy the website is to use. Lots of plans to choose from and options for employees. Can specify company contributions as well.

Needs to improve: Cobra is still by paper and not online.

We outsource our HR and payroll solutions to Trinet. As a small firm with limited capacity, we need all hands on deck and the more time and resources a service can save us, we're all ears. Trinet handles all of our HR related issues seamlessly. Great customer service, ease of use, communication and an extremely knowledgeable staff keep our relations efficient and precise. Competitive rates and while we encourage all to shop around, we ultimately decided on Trinet due to their level of client commitment.

My company has used Trinet for its payroll services for over 2 decades. I have been the general accountant for my company for 10 years and my experience with Trinet has been more than satisfactory. I would like to see more access to customizable payroll reports for financial analysis purposes. Our Trinet account managers have been a pleasure to work with and are always quick to respond to any issues.

we outsource our HR and benefits platform to Trinet. they have complied that sector of our company to make it smooth, easy to use, compatible, and inc work production. they have a strategic department that handles compensation, ethnics, performance management and talent acquisition. this is truly streamlined our HR process and is great for small businesses

we have used trinet's services in the past for all our payroll and benefits and they were very reliable and trustworthy. im not sure why the company moved on from them but from my point of view they were always on time with pay roll and had great benefits packages as well.

I have used Trinet at a previously start-up and the services provided by Tri-net was excellent. For a small company that does not need the high overhead cost of a full time HR dept to manage benefits, payroll, etc, Tri net is a good option
