I thought they were reasonable with the pricing and different options for different services you can chose from. however they lack a process which would allow you to order parts and receive them quickly.

Strengths: They have a variety of services and options you can chose from.

Needs to improve: They lack a process which allows you to streamline orders and get your parts in a timely manner.

I had purchased a Thermotron oven which can cycle parts from high temperature to -20 degrees in less then 5 seconds. However the sales guys didn't tell me the different options that I can upgrade the equipment to. The upgrades would have prevented me from having to go through another vendor and upgrade the system. However the service guys were knowledgeable enough to walk me through the repair and allow me to keep the equipment under warranty.

Strengths: Cincinnati has a great service department. They stand by their product and willing to replace parts when the defect is a reasonable failure

Needs to improve: The sales force needs to be trained by the service department on the different options that you can turn your equipment into. They lack the knowledge that the service personnel have.

I had a pleasant experience working with them. It only got difficult when you ask them to do more then what they have quoted you for. They are very precise in their quotes and unwilling to go beyond until you get another quote for the work you ask for.

Strengths: Control Plastics is a very competent company that is knowledgeable and industry experts in what they do.

Needs to improve: They are a specialty company and specializes in what they do and unable to expand further then that.

I enjoyed working with them once we had all the legal papers signed and put away. Working with the technical team to describe what we needed the quantity and the method we will be using. They worked very closely with us throughout the process and helped us successfully utilize there product and not just here you go and good luck.

Strengths: Loctite Corp has a variety of off the shelf products you can buy, but you can also work with them on something a little more tailored to fit your needs.

Needs to improve: Being a big company as Loctite, there is some red tape to get through. a lot of non-discloses to sign and if you visit their facility there is much more.

They are exceptional in how they approach issues. They give you a clear understanding of the situation you are in and the options that are available. They work very closely with you throughout the process. They are great.

Strengths: MeKo provides you with the highest quality and with the latest technologies and innovative materials. They are the pioneers of quality products and innovation in process development.

Needs to improve: They are located in Germany and so the response time is slow.

I worked with them on many of my programs. They are fast, reliable, and can make quality products with precision.

Strengths: They have a reputation for producing high quality products on time and at competitive prices.Their state of the art inspection equipment and ISO 9002 compliant process controls have been comparable to the big names in the market.

Needs to improve: Communication with them was a little challenging. Having bi-lingual employees can be a plus but it can also work the other way.

I worked with them in developing a test protocol. They were great with ideas, suggestions, and overall guiding me through the process. I learned a great deal from working with them.

Strengths: They have an edge in the market because they employ knowledgeable employees who take pride in the fact that they are the experts in your testing needs.

Needs to improve: They are not as broad in the services they offer. But being that they specialize in testing they have the greatest knowledge.

I order most of all our office supplies and furniture through staples. If you can avoid calling them and speaking with a rep. then I suggest you do. Purchasing online and is a preferred method. The customer service really do not know what they are talking about

Strengths: I have had a fantastic experience with staples and their products. Our company used all staples products for our employee. Staples products may be a little pricey, but due to the quality and variety I believe purchasing from Staples is an investment you will not regret.

Needs to improve: Their customer support is a bit lacking in understanding of the product. I was had to resolve most of the issues on myself.

My overall experience with cannon has been great. The staff has in depth knowledge of their product.

Strengths: Canon's products have some in handy. From office printers to personal cameras, you COULD NOT go wrong with their products! Printers are perfect for small or large projects,from front desk use to back of the house use, it never fails to impress us. The website is easy, clean and convenient for both professional to family matters, with a clean layout and easy to navigate systems.

Needs to improve: I have yet to find a weakness in their products

I had a pleasant experience with Corrosion Testing Laboratories they were cordial, knowledgable, and reasonable with the pricing.

Strengths: For medical devices it is imperrative that you test for corrosion. We used Corrosion Testing Laboratories because it has a complete corrosion testing. They do the analysis as a part of their service.

Needs to improve: The facility is not in California so the lead time is the downside.

The are very helpful during the purchasing process. We bought what we needed with their help. Their customer support was great and the pricing was very reasonable.

Strengths: Watlow has a great selection of industrial electric heaters, sensors and controllers out of all the companies I have dealt with. They bring thermal expertise to guide you in the selection process so you can get the exact equipment you need.

Needs to improve: There refurbished equipment is not reliable. We had purchased a refurbished oven and it did not last long.

They can customize to your comfort and the frames are durable. The customer service is commendable they will work with you until you are satisfied with the product.

Strengths: Uvex offers a wide varitey of custom safety glasses. They also have a wide variety of frames for those who wear glasses. They offer a onsite customer service if your order is big enough. There representatives are knowledgable and provide sound advice on the different price packages you can chose from.

Needs to improve: Never had an issue dealing with UVEX. They are priced a bit high but you get what you pay for.

I was very pleased with how they do business. They were very forthcoming with their limitations and gave us sound solutions to the issues we had.

Strengths: I worked with the folks at Acel Precision they manufactured high quality components. Being in the medical device industry we need our parts to be percise the first time and the 1000th time. The folks at Acel Precision was able to provide us with what we needed. They actually made a suggestion that improved one of our products design.

Needs to improve: They have limited resources so it takes a bit long for them to respond to you. But when they do respond you are satisfied with what they offer.

They just have too much and their website looks like a sunday newspaper ad too much.

Strengths: I have used Harbor Freight Tools in the past and they do offer a wide range of products from hand tools to power tools, welding equipment, shop tools, jacks, and a whole lot more.

Needs to improve: Offering too much can sometimes hurt a company. Their website looks like a newspaper ad. They offer little help because they don't specialize so if you are unsure of what you should get then I would not recommend going to Harbor Freight tools.

Q-PLUS is one of the most well equipped and capable independent precision dimensional measurement laboratories I have ever used. They utilize a wide array of precision measurement and inspection equipment with automated capabilities. If you can afford it they also provide portable, on-site measurement solutions.

Strengths: We used Q-PLUS for some validation on our tooling. We sent them samples to get Precision Dimensional Measurement and was impressed with how precise they were.

Needs to improve: They are very expensive. If they can cut the cost down by even 1/4 we would be able to use them more often.

The quality of product you get for what they charge is unmatched. Down to the way they package the material for shipping was impressive.

Strengths: I have had dealt with GCM in a previous job they provided us with some real Precision Sheetmetaling and Furnace Brazing. They delivered competitively priced product and on time with no defects for over 1000 parts. That was pretty impressive considering the process used.

Needs to improve: I have no complaints they do a great job and the price is more then fair.

The one improvement that I noticed was the customer service. The company before Vishay aquired them was smaller and therefore limited on resources. Since Vishay took over the customer service has improved a great deal.

Strengths: We use Vishay for alot of the components that go into our driver board. They provide us with passive components like diodes, MOSFETs, integrated circuits,resistors, inductors, and capacitors. They had aquired a company we were using before and we did not want to find another supplier. It was a one-stop shop service that offered many different parts.

Needs to improve: Never had an issue with Vishay. We always received what we ordered never had a delay.

The staff is very easy to talk to. They don't try and tell you what you want to hear but actually takes the time to understand your product, the issue you are having, and what it is you are trying to learn and will provide you with some recommendations on which analysis would be best to use, but not try to push you.

Strengths: I have used Photometrics in the past when we sent some samples for SEM and TGA analysis. They are located in Southern California and have a very knowledgeable staff that takes the time to understand your needs and provide you with a detailed report that is easy to understand and interpret.

Needs to improve: The time it takes to get results takes a about 2-3 days which is not too bad but that being the only negative thing I would have to say about them.

Aside from the unintelligible customer support they make the best tools. They really take into account the little details that other companies leave out.

Strengths: We bought the Mechanical Drilling Machine, Routing Machine and Laser Drilling Machine in the past and i think the name Hitachi speaks for itself.

Needs to improve: They have sound equipment but because of the size of the company and how broad of a market they have their customer support is lacking.

When there is an issue their customer service was very responsive and within 48 hours the issue was resolved. They provided us with an explanation of what happened with our order and the replacement had already arrived. We were not affected by this delay and was very impressed at how things were handled.

Strengths: Samtec is provides us with our electronic interconnects for our device. They are innovative in their design aspects in making the most intricate interconnections possible.

Needs to improve: We have had issues with some of their shipments but they did remedy them quickly and at the end we were not affected by it.
