There store workers are great and drivers are terrible. The exact opposite of UPS. So pick your poison. At least the UPS guy doesn't urinate in the boxwood hedges by the pool everyday he comes here. Then pretends he doesn't speak English when u confront him

While certain reps were helpful and handy, others seemed to not care, take their slow time, and not do what the costumers request.

Strengths: They are great at packaging your items and ensuring they are going to get there in one piece. They are also helpful in giving you great quotes on items cost and when they are expected to be delivered.

Needs to improve: They are often not good listeners. When requesting to ship an item that did not need to so well packaged as our other items being shipped, they were quite insistent on over packaging an item that upped the cost. As I continued to tell them that it is unnecessary to do so, the representative continued to pack a small item into a ridiculously oversized box until it was time to pay.

I rarely ship with FedEx- I find USPS and UPS better for me needs. But, I receive shipments via FedEx seamlessly for the most part.

I did have a claim for a lost package that I'd shipped. The process was a hassle. The rep assigned to my case was pretty mechanical and didn't respond to my urgency around the situation. I had to wait a mandatory period for them to search their warehouses, followed by providing them with receipts for my lost items; relatively standard but time consuming and kind of disappointing considering I had to repurchase, repackage, and reship my items without additional compensation for time, etc... I started back at zero weeks later.

Strengths: Overnight delivery, Lots of drop off centers

Needs to improve: Claims dept for losses was a hassle

The company i work for has an account with fedex for freight shipping. We ship items such as transmissions, engine blocks, differentials, seats, exhausts, etc. Fedex is always on time with their pick ups and shipments. I have had great experience using them as a shipper in the sense that all of the items that i have shipped/received have come undamaged. Even the boxes and packaging materials has been left unscathed. I have heard that compared to UPS fedex tends to be more careful with their packages and actually reads the warnings on the box (do not tip, fragile item, etc) and I believe it as I can't say the same thing with UPS. Pricing is fair however rest assured knowing your packages will arrive at their destinations safely.

We use Fed ex every time we open a new site or close out an old one. they work well for us most of the time. On occasion we will have a late shipment or a driver will be early to pick up packages all in all they do a decent job. nothing spectacular

Strengths: We use FedEx from time to time to ship out uniforms and paperwork to different sites around the bay area. They have always delivered.

Needs to improve: Very poor customer service at least at our local fedex location. I am seldom greeted with a smile most of the time i am greeted with a "I hate my job" type of attitude followed by sighs and rolling eyes. They are more expensive than most of there competitors.

My Fedex experience has been ideal. Our Fedex representative has taken the effort to pay a visit to our office and my company has developed a great rapport with Fedex and our representative. We've used their services for a number of years and are satified.

Strengths: The strength of Fedex is their dependability and timeliness. My office uses them as our shipping service and we've always valued their professionalism.

Needs to improve: The weakness of Fedex is that if we have a large package to send out we have to call Fedex Ground. It would be nice if the contract we have with Fedex would allow Fedex Ground pickups too - instead of having to go a further step and call to schedule an appointment.

Drivers are nice. Drop off and pickups are handled correctly. Doesn't handle boxes roughly.
FedEx charged us a very large fee when we flagged down a driver on the road and gave him a package (as we were on the way to the FedEx dropoff center). We figured giving the driver a package is quicker. FedEx charged us a large Fee. Customer beware!

Strengths: Treats packages well. No damage to shipped items. Pretty good tracking system online.

Needs to improve: Delivery times are not very accurate at the business. Drop off and pickup times are not as predictable as UPS or USPS. Even On Trac (more local carrier) has a better track record of timeliness than FedEx.

My recomendation is if you have anything fragile then buy the insurance for the package if you are going to shipping with fedex. If your company is too cheap to buy the insurance then you need to put in a lot of foam or packaging material cause your package will not be handled gently.

Strengths: Fedex has a lot of locations some better then others.

Needs to improve: Fedex needs to improve in the way their employee handles the packages. I have seen some of them toss the packages into the truck like its garbage. I have yet to see a delivery from fedex whether it be pick up or drop off handle with care.

Fedex offers a easy to use web interface when shipping a package. Their design is easy for newcomers who don't know their way around the machine. Customer service was excellent if our machine or computer encountered problems. They were able to assist us immediately and correct our problem.

Strengths: Fedex is a trusted vendor of ours for many years now. Their servicemen are always on time and arrive with a smile. They are willing to wait till we're done creating shipping labels for all our packages. On top of their excellent service, their prices are very competitive when compared to similar vendors. Tape, boxes and packing envelops are always provided.

Needs to improve: Can't think of any type of weakness.

We use Fedex as one of our shippers of packages that need to be delivered to our stores. Fedex is fast with their shipping as they always stay within or above the projected shipping time. They also have relatively inexpensive prices on their shipping as well as shipping cost cuts over certain amounts. The negatives are bad customer service as well as the fact that they will not always leave the package if nobody is home to receive it. Other than those two things, I highly recommend Fedex.

FedEx is fabulous! My favorite part of working with FedEx are their employees. The Drivers are reliable and consistently go out of their way to schedule as many pick-ups as they can without sacrificing quality or delaying delivery.

FedEx's website is very easy to use. It is easy to get extra shipping supplies to keep at the office. There are many locations should you need in-store service. Might not always be the cheapest option, but you will regret using another vendor.

Strengths: Reliable service. Easy to use website. Drivers go out of their way to make pick-ups work.

Needs to improve: It might not always be the cheapest option.

My company has an account with FedEx and they do all of our shipments. We have a scheduled pickup every day and there is always something to ship out! The delivery and pick-up guys are all extremely nice and personable. Even when we have ridiculous amounts of boxes or odd packages they accept them without a complaint.

Strengths: Biggest strength of FedEx is that they are always on time! I also appreciate their insurance policy especially when it comes to international shipments.

Needs to improve: Weakness is their FedEx Ground service. Freight shipments can take a little longer and packages may arrive a little more disheveled.

Fedex has great delivery service, especially when documents need to be delivered the next day. we use FedEx Call service, issues with fedex were usually due to our rush to meet the pickup deadlines, but drivers usually good about taking packages if we are able to track them down in time. Have not missed a delivery deadline yet with Fedex. wish the prices were a bit lower, but can't complain about this type of vital service.

Strengths: Quick delivery, reliable.

Needs to improve: Prices are high, but other options are almost the same, and fedex is worth the small difference.

FedEx just seems to me like a company I would use as a last resort, I don't depending on them often

Needs to improve: FedEx needs to adjust their prices for what they are actually offering. I once paid over $200 to have important documents sent only to arrive late compared to when I used USPS and arrived before the deadline. Customer service also seems to be lacking with FedEx.

Generally, the system is set in place and works well.

Strengths: FedEx products are well made - so you don't have to worry about the package or envelope falling apart. They are also good with international deliveries - to Asia and Europe. Also, the tracking system tells you where the packages are, so you can tell what happened - even if there is a mistake.

Needs to improve: If one of your packages misses a shipping deadline and gets left behind, it can take long times with customer service to track it down.

Over all has been a great experience using FedEx. Most of the time better than all other services that are available. Reliability is a huge thing, and when I send it, 99 out of 100 times it will get there on time and in one piece. It may cost a little more than others, but reliability does make it the go to service for cross country shipping.

Needs to improve: Price, Price, Price. Low volume company gets no discounts.

I have had very few problems with FedEx. The problem which I have had were more related to how the shipper packaged the shipment rather than FedEx's ability to deliver a package. They many locations make it easy to ship items and you can have packages shipped to a convenient location when your not available to receive the shipment. Additionally they make multiple deliveries a day at work so you never have to wait long for the shipment.

Strengths: Domestic and international shipping

Our firm uses FedEx on occasion for our shipping needs due to their reliability and service. We have never had issues with our deliveries and but their prices tend to be higher than the competition. One of the perks of using FedEx is the late time you can ship things out for the next day. Their customer service is usually decent as well. I would always shop the prices for shipping, but FedEx is definitely reliable and speedy.

Never had a problem with FedEx. Any delays have always been associated with severe weather. Until they fine a way to control weather, I gues we'll have to deal with this from time to time.

Strengths: FedEx make tracking packages a breeze. Sign up for an online account and they will even notify when someone ships somethign to your registered address and when it is expected to arrive.

Needs to improve: Sure FedEx can be a little pricey for next day service but that comes with the territory.

We often use fedex for sending and receiving packages. They are usually on time for delivering packages. The Fedex Ship Center is great when we miss the delivery or have to ship something out after the tuck has come by already.

Strengths: Open late. Full service Fedex office. Where you can pickup the packages if you happen to miss the delivery (in the Southbay area). Friendly and patient workers.

Needs to improve: If the line is long, you will be outside (can get cold at night)
